I booked hotel reservation through Expedia for my sister. Upon arriving at the hotel- Days Inn by Wyndham in Moab Utah, the room was too small. My sister asked to be moved to a larger room and apparently a situation arose. Anna the hotel staff member onsite asked my sister to leave. My sister said she would, but expected a refund as the hotel refused to give her a room. The hotel then called the police who arrived and told the hotel they could refuse service but DID have to refund her. The officer was there for 90mins as Expedia tried to call the hotel who then refused to refund again and again. My sister finally left and paid for a room elsewhere. I have contacted Expedia at least 25 times and been on hold for hours. They REFUSE to refund me even though the hotel refused to allow us the stay there. You cannot refuse a service and still keep the money- that is theft. I expect the hotel to contact Expedia and issue my refund NOW.
