For two days I have been attempting to receive multiple documents regarding my house appraisal from January 2022. I have been told multiple times that I would receive a call back on a particular day and both times, have not received anything. By law, the organization is required to hold these documents. The first person I spoke to was my previous loan processor who did not even know where to get this document for me, and when I asked she told me I had to go to the appraisal company, which is wrong. The next person I spoke to told me somebody name *** would call me by the end of the day, which did not happen. The next day, the same person told me someone named **** would call me by the end of the day, which did not happen. I have attempted to reach out twice to customer service and have someone call me regarding this issue, which has not happened. My frustration comes from, not only being told things that are not occurring, but the delay in getting these documents could potentially cost me money and is requiring another bank to wait on Veritas Funding. My previous appraisal is only good for so long and this company is causing me to potentially not be able to use it.Business response

Ive been receiving FHA loan equity mailer repeatedly for over a year and half now. I have contacted Veritas 4 times now, asking to not be sent these mailers: twice via email, once via phone call and now once via their online chat. They keep mailing me, blatantly ignoring my request to be left alone. This is predatory lending. I am on every single do not call and do not solicit list and in the final chat, the loan officer I was connect to had the gall to mock me in the chat and then ignore me after asking to be put on the do not contact list.Business response

Consumer indicated that she had requested to be removed from all solicitations from Veritas Funding (email phone calls mailers etc.). Veritas Funding has no record of receiving her information either by email, phone or chat. Veritas has reached out to the vendor and have added her information to our DNM (Do not Mail) list. Veritas Funding truly apologizes for any inconvenience this has caused.Customer response

Ive been receiving financial, loan equity solicitations repeatedly, Ive contacted Veritas and let them know I'm not interested and to please stop sending me pre approved mailings. I keep receiving them. This feels like predatory lending , and at this point harassment to use their loan services. Im NOT interested, and would like it to stop!Business response

Veritas Funding takes consumer complaints very seriously and would like to apologize about receiving the unwanted mail. Sending these types of letters is common practice in the mortgage industry. Once a consumer has purchased a home their mortgage information including the amount of equity they may have in their home, becomes public. We have added the consumers information to our opt out database and they will no longer receive any phone calls, emails, text or mailers from Veritas Funding in the future.Initial Complaint

We received a letter on 2/22/22, from what looked like the PNC Bank NA about our current mortgage. There’s a reference # listed in the window, making it appear to be financial or possibly claims related from PNC BANK NA. It says on the ‘Response Required’ ‘Notice Type Urgent’. Once we opened it, we found it was from an alleged financial/loan company that had acquired our information without our knowledge. Inside it says Response requested. When I called, no one knew why it stated 'required' on the envelope, or if there was problem with my loan. I was told someone would call back and never did. I’d like to know response for why it is required? To me, it appears very deceiving, and this practice should stop immediately.Business response

My husband received a letter on 6/30/21, from what looked like the VA, veterans affairs. He is a disabled veteran that receives mail from the VA on a regular basis. At first glance, the logo, font, coloring, size of print, envelope, ALL looked similar to mail he receives regularly. There’s also a reference # listed in the window, making it appear to be financial or possibly claims related. Once we opened it, we were stunned to discover that it had nothing to do with the VA, and is from an alleged financial/loan company that had acquired our information without our knowledge! This misleading letter was intentionally made to look like VA material! Their name is ‘Veritas funding’, which does not abbreviate as ‘VA’, but more like ‘VF’!! It also lists a date and states ‘RESPONSE REQUIRED 07/21/2021’. I’d like to know response required for what?? This is extremely unnerving, and should be fixed swiftly! They’re targeting veterans!! They’re impersonating the Veteran Affairs!!Business response
