Awful mgmt. Very inexperienced. No proven plans including those w disabilities. *** non compliant. Non compliant structures. Code Enforcement fines and penalties. No experience with executing let alone implementing structural plans w workers. Filthy structures without mgmt knowing or learning what they need to do for compliance w federal and state laws. Employees if HOA STRATEGIES, unlawfully manage properties regularly using methods which, are strictly failures due to a conflict of interests. Hire dib contractors t the expense of tenant rights both federal and **** non compliance to simply profit

I have been a member of this neighborhood run by HOA Strategies since 2016. I have even became a board member to help create change, but was met with too much interference with HOA Strategies. New leadership was installed in May 2021 and still havent seen any changes. I sent an email to HOA Strategies asking for a process to get a rule changed, but the reply from (******* B, Community Manager) was It is best to try your best to abide by the rules and be a good neighbor. However, we make property visits once a month, and if your neighbor reports you, the violation is your risk to take. I might understand if I was someone who was a constant pain or always caused problems, but I am not and that was very unprofessional. It is *** companies and attitudes like that which is the reason most people refuse to buy a house that is in an ***. It is sad when real estate websites give you the ability to filter out homes with an ***. I will leave this neighborhood because of the *** not the neighbors.

      HOA Strategies Response

      10/11/2021

Hello, based on our records, it appears that you are referring to one of the rules of your *** that prohibits parking on the street. This rule is defined in the covenants, conditions, and restrictions, or CC&Rs, which is part of the communitys governing documents and requires a supermajority approval of the owners to amend. These rules, and the penalties for violating them, were set forth when the *** was first created. The ***** of ********* is responsible for maintaining the rules. As the management company, HOA Strategies has been hired by the ***** of ********* to manage the community, and one of our duties is to enforce the rules. That is why we come out to do inspections, and send warning letters when we see a violation. Part of the management company's role is to prevent a perception of what is called Selective Enforcement, which is when some people are held to a different standard than others. As far as the rules are concerned, it doesnt matter if you are someone who was a constant pain or always caused problems or not. The rules should be enforced equally for everyone, and that is what we strive to do. We would never stand in the way of a homeowner who wants to get involved in their ***. In fact, we encourage it. If there is a rule you dont like and wish to see changed, getting elected to the board is the best way to make that happen. We encourage you to run for your board again and work to enact change from the inside. We recommend you read this article for more information on this topic: https://www.hoastrategies.com/articles/hoa-governance-who-is-in-charge/
