I was diagnosed with sleep apnea about 5 years ago. I have been wearing a **** machine since the. The **** machine has been uncomfortable for me. I researched online for oral sleep appliances because I heard these devices are more comfortable to help with sleep apnea. I contacted them on Nov 29 2023 for a phone consultation. They asked for my insurance information which I gave to them. I had the phone consultation on Dec 7th and they shipped out an impression kit for me to get fitted for my oral appliance. I received the impression kit and followed the instructions and shipped it back to them. I was told there would be a period to try out the appliance. I received the appliance on Feb 2nd as it took over a month to make. The appliance I received isnt what they advertised on their website and ****** pictures. It is poorly designed with flimsy plastic and doesnt fit properly. As an Engineer, I noticed the device isnt designed and works as advertised for Sleep Apnea which is a serious medical condition. I never met with a doctor from American Sleep Dentistry to properly make sure I was getting the proper medical device for my ********************** Apnea condition. I called the company on Feb 7th to return the product and get a full refund of $950.00 for a fake/counterfeit product. The manager I spoke with refused to start the return process. I should have done more due diligence on the company because they have tons of complaints on ****** and other websites for not providing the product and medical service for their customers. This company should be investigated for unethical and fraudulent by the ************************ and other governmental and state agencies because sleep apnea is a serious medical condition. They should not be providing medical fake products and services without doctors and charging customer insurance companies for ********************** should not scam customers into buying their product and believing they can treat sleep apnea.
