Storm Tight Windows installed new impact windows in our house on June 10th through 13th. The work was supposed to have started on the 10th but all they did was deliver the windows. The next day the windstorm inspector (Southeast Texas Engineering) came by for inspection but there were not enough windows installed to complete the inspection. Two windows were not replaced because they were broken during transit. These two windows were not installed until September. We require the WPI8 windstorm certificate from the state of Texas. Since September we have been chasing for the WPI8 windstorm certificate, However, now it is four months later and still no WPI8. We do not know if an additional inspection is required or if all the pictures Storm Tight took after finial installation will be sufficient for the windstorm inspectors. Regardless, it is Storm Tight's responsibility to obtain this certificate for us.Business response

We bought windows years ago and when our son and daughter-in-law were looking for windows this year, we recommended Storm Tight. They ended up getting their windows from Storm Tight also and asked at least twice to make sure we would get the referral money Storm Tight promised for recommending them. Their windows were put in months ago and we still haven't gotten a check. I called Storm Tight and someone took the information and said I would be contacted. I was contacted only by salespeople trying to sell me more windows! The last one asked if I'd filled out an online form saying I wanted information on new windows and I told her that no I hadn't, that I'd called asking about the referral check they'd promised us. She said she was going to talk to her supervisor and hung up on me. To this date, we still have heard nothing and still don't have our money. If this is how they stand behind that promise, I doubt they'll stand behind their windows either and I regret recommending them. I won't make that mistake again. I want them to pay us the money they owe us.Business response

June 27th - storm tight installed windows. very sloppy job very unprofessional. broke multiple bricks requested repair by QUALIFIED MASON. July 1 st Storm tight sent 2 guys out to look at broken areas. They said they would repair. They had broken multiple areas of brick around my home. Prior to this house had only 2 loose bricks in 20 years. The seal when you break masonry work is damaged and their carelessness in the repair is appalling. installation broke brick on 13 windows and caused a 12 ft crack on an previously undamaged wall. Their repair work they used some mortar in some locations and USED CAULK, this is rubber that shrinks in heat (we are in Texas) along the most damaged section of my home this is NOT a water tight seal. To top it off they did not even match the mortar to the house mortar.The caulk is also another color which now makes the home look HORRIBLE. I want them to send a QUALIFIED MASON and Repair their negligent damage correctly or reimburse US.
