On December 27, 2022 I received a call from pioneer life insurance. The agent was ********************************* from **********, *******. ********************** talked me into purchasing a policy that I told him I could not afford as I am on disability. He informed me the premium would not come out until February 27th. After taking my information he informed me no company would take me due to past cancer. On January 5th, 2023 I received a policy in the mail stating they took out $86.70 from my account. I immediately called to cancel this policy. I was told by ****** on 1/5/2923 at 12:35 p.m. that it was taken care of. I waited a week and called to check on the refund. They told me the money was not taken from my account. I said yes it was on the 3rd of January 2023. I was informed I needed to send my bank statement to them for proof. I was sick with strep throat so I called my bank and ***** was nice enough to send my statement blacking out other info they didnt need to see. I waited another week and called pioneer again. They said my statement was faxed to the wrong place. Pioneer wanted me to rend it or wait till Feb.3, 2023 for my refund. ********************** called me to ask why I cancelled. I told him I felt pressured plus nothing was to come out of my account for a month. I thought there was no charge as I did not qualify due to health. ********************** got testy with me about being pressured into this. I finally hung up on him but he kept calling me back over and over. I have received several calls from ******************** about this situation. They only frustrated me saying I sent things to the wrong number then telling me they could not help me I needed to talk to Pioneer. Her name is *******. I live on $1000 a month so this policy was to expensive for me. I read the policy and after 60 years old my cash value would only be $67 and Im 59 now. It is now Feb. 11, 2023 and no refund yet. I need that money to live. Please help me get my refund. Thank youBusiness response

In the review of Ms. ******** application, it does appear the policy was issues early in error which caused a draft to her account early. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. Ms. ******** policy was cancelled as of the original issue date. ****************** was sent a letter January 5, 2023, advising of this and also advised that last draft from her account would be refunded to her once it had cleared the normal banking channels. The refund was sent back to her bank account on February 19, 2023.
