Signed up with them in July 2022 and I sent in a letter of credit AND a $225 deposit. I found out I didn't have to do the deposit if I sent the LOC. So, I called and asked for the deposit refund. They refunded on next bill. Then next bill they snuck it in. When you do the math it is the deposit of $225 added onto the electricity charges.
I called 6 times about this issue and each time I was told a ticket number and it would be resolved and only pay the charges for the electricity, which I did. Only to have the next bill show late fees and the $225 still on there.
I have spent hours trying to get them to see their system error. They refuse to admit the problem. One guy (Larry) actually took the time to look into it. He confirmed that the extra charge was the deposit plus late fees..HE SAW THE PROBLEM. But his supervisor denied the request to have the charges of the $225 + late fees taken off.
Then they cut my power off a few days later, without warning. I got a letter of disconnect a few days before I got the next bill. The next day, after the bill was received, the power was disconnected.
I called customer service from my cell phone and my number was blocked! I tried multiple times and each time I chose the option for customer care I got disconnected. I had to call from another phone.
So, then I'm on the phone for about 45 minutes only to be argued with once again about the deposit issue (and the late fees they kept racking up). The guy was absolutely disrespectful. I let him know multiple times how unprofessional it is to speak over the customer and not listen. His voice kept getting louder and louder and I eventually hung up because I wasn't being heard anyway.
Do not sign up with them. They will tempt you with low fees. It is not worth the headache. Seriously, research this company.
I would also like to add that I believe they have two company names. One is New Power Texas and the other is Pulse Power. They have different email addresses with those names.

We would like the opportunity to have someone from our customer experience team reach out to you directly if possible. Would you mind sending your best contact number, service address, and account number to [email protected] so that we may do so?

We moved August 2022 and I called to have the service disconnected and removed from my name in August before we moved. They keep sending me bills as of Oct, and we moved from the house in August. I have emails from them and the verification on the disconnection. I have called and stayed on hold over an hour 3 different times. They keep stating they are transferring my problem to another area to be reviewed and resolved. Honestly, I'm tired of dealing with this company. I would like to warn everyone to not get elect Pulse Power for your electric provider. It's so frustrating and I feel like this is never going to be resolved.

I would like someone to contact me directly at my email address or phone number immediately. I've tried numerous times and wasted hours trying to get this resolved. I'm not wasting anymore time waiting on hold for hours to get shuffled around in circles. This is the most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with!!!

I signed up for their 36 month fixed price plan. When the bill came they had overcharged me by about $50. The bill had no resemblance to the electricity facts label that I had used to select them. The base charge was wrong and the billing tiers were wrong. I immediately tried to contact them to let them know the error. I sent 2 emails. No response. I tried calling in and got a message saying long wait times if I want they will call me back and I won't lose my place in line. No call back. I went through their website and used a customer service request form and got an automated email reply that they would respond in one business day. No response. I called back in and waited on hold for an hour and forty minutes until they decided to answer and immediately hang up. I've since filed a complaint with the Public Utility Commission of Texas. Hopefully this review saves somebody the aggravation and complete waste of time and money I've endured. After reading Jonathan P's review here, I have to assume this is normal business practice for them because his review is the same experience I had. I wish I had seen his review before switching.

I just signed with this company. Received my first bill which is much higher than what I signed up for. I spent literally 2 1/2 hours on the phone trying to reach their customer service. No way!
Scary . I wanted to cancel this plan even with $125 penalty fee. It’s outrageous that they charge fixed fee , no matter what, $280 !!! Their customer service is non existent and it is pure misleading putting the phone number on their website.
What is even more aggravating is that they still run the business that is full of fraudulent information and legality of it is questionable.
