We filed original start-up paper work with A1 Waste Water in Mid-March 2021. $700 was asked from us as a down - payment for this service. Paid. As this was a $7,000 job. Was told it could take up to 8 weeks for the state to approve the paperwork for installment. 8 weeks after original ppw submission we called to check on ppw process. Only to learn that something was missing and they were waiting on us to turn it in and did NOT tell us it was missing in that whole 8 weeks of waiting. We got the missing ppw turned in within a few days(after sorting a separate issue out with that). So our “ORIGINAL” ppw wasn’t actually submitted to state until end of MAY. (During which time our $700 check was cashed) During the dry month of June when the system should/could have been installed, the state was actually processing the paper work, which caused us to get approval for installment during the rainy month of July-August. During this time sewage backed up into our bathroom where our old toilet had been removed (because of remodeling) which jeopardized a $1500 sheet rock job in this room. At one point the owner of A1 waste water did come out and look at the location to see if it could be installed and was going to attempt to install it while the ground was still rather soggy(which gave us an uneasy feeling). We therefore switched contractors in mid-august. We chose East Texas Sewer, and around the time we made our minds up to cut off A1, the rain began to slack up. During this time the rain continued all around our property but we were shielded from it. Within two weeks time from switching contractors, EAST TEXAS SEWER has installed our new aerobic system! We contacted A1 several times regarding the issues we have faced over the last several months pointing out that it could have been installed before our wedding in June 2021 if not for their lack of attention to detail regarding our “missing paperwork”. When we told A1 we were switching to EAST TEXAS he (the owner of A-1) stated “if that’s what you want to do” after making excuses for the rain instead of owning up to their part on the ppw mistake. He never replied to our inquiries about us asking for only part of our deposit back that was not for state fees. We would still like to get part of it back, if not all of our $700. ***** ****** and his crew were very friendly and did excellent work for us. ***** with EAST TEXAS SEWER went the extra mile by contacting the state for us as well as making sure the plumbing worked and drained properly before tying in the new system (the old system being completely unusable due to tree roots and dirt filling the partially collapsed old tanks and pipes for years while the house was vacant). .
