I spoke to the owner, *************************, of AAA Discount Movers on May 28, 2022 about a move on June 3, 2022. I told him I needed to move a china cabinet, a dining room table and many boxes that were already packed, I I said they would be going to a house and storage facility. He quoted me a price of $95 for two hours, two men and a truck. He said at hour three and after, it would be $150 per hour and a fee of $50 to go to the storage facility. I repeated to price to him and it was $95/2 hours. I told him I would like to hire his company. He told me that I needed to give him a deposit of $35 to make the reservation. I gave him my card number and he texted me a receipt for the $35. He told me the men would be at the first location between 9:00am-10:00am.On June 1, 2022, I called ***** and told him that I needed to move the time to 1:00pm as that was when my lawyer could be there. He told me there would be another fee of $50 to move the time. I agreed to that fee. On the day of the move, the men worked from 1:15pm-4:00pm. ***************** texted me a price of $685 for 3 1/2 hours, total price of $720. I spoke with ***************** about the amount. I told him the original price quoted to me was $95/2 hours. He told me that it was not that amount and said it was $395/2 hours. I told him that was not the amount he told me. The total he gave me was for 3 1/2 hours when the men actually worked 2 hours and 45 minutes. ***************** offered to take off $50 and the total would now be $635. I paid that amount even though the total should have been $345 not $720, $95/2 hours. $150 for an hour. $50 to go to another facility and $50 for moving the time. One of the men gave me a receipt that had only the total amount of $635 due and showed the time worked from 1:14pm-4:00pm. Later that day, I texted ***************** and asked for him to send me an invoice of the charges and he did not reply to my text nor did he forward an invoice to me.The moving truck also had *** Movers on it.Business response

In response to *************************** complaint Our prices are as followed $150 per hour $95.00 fuel charge with a two hour minimum. Total for two hours would be $395.00 There was also an extra stop which we charge her an additional $50. I also told her there would be an extra fee of $50 for changing the time on us which i had to rearrange the schedule. I did not charge her $95 for two hours of service for two men and a truck including gas which for diesel is $5.30 There was obviously a misunderstanding of what she heard.Not sure how anyone would ever be able to stay in business or make a living at $45 an hour for two guys.. We are working in 100 + degree weather our moving trucks cost alot of money to run large household moving trucks with gas, insurance, maintenance, office, parking spots for truck,phone expense and most of all labor for workers. I Do sincerely apologize that you think i miss quoted you However $395 for two hours is our prices and have been for the last 12 months. if you need references let me know and i will send you a few of the customers that we do business with. Job took 3.5 hours and you where charge accordingly.

I am rejecting this response because:************************* did not quote me a price of $395 for two hours, two men and a truck. He quoted me a price of $95 for two hours, two men and a truck. During the initial phone call to him, I even confirmed that it was $95 for two hours, two men and a truck at least twice and he said that was correct. I also gave him $35 deposit. On the day of the move, the men worked from 1:15pm until 4:00pm. That is a total amount of 2 hours and 45 minutes as it clearly shows that on the receipt. One of the movers was the one that filled out the time worked. After the men were finished, ***************** told me the price was $685 owed still for 3 1/2 hours of work. If you add that total with the $35 deposit, that is a total of $720. I was quite shocked by that price. That was quite a difference from what he initially quoted me. After I told him that was not what he quoted me, he said it was $395 for two hours, two men and a truck. He offered at that point to take off $50, which still brought the total of $635 that he was saying that I owed him. If you look at the receipt from the cash app that I included on my initial complaint, it does show that I payed $635 and the receipt for the deposit of $35, that total is $670. If he did not take off the $50, the total amount for this move would be $720. I am disabled and on a fixed income. This was quite a lot for a move that was 2 hours and 45 minutes. He overcharged me also because he said the movers worked 3 1/2 hours, which clearly is incorrect as shown on the receipt. Even after texting him and asking for an invoice with a breakdown of pricing, I never received an invoice nor did I receive a text back from *****************.

Moved on 8/13 Pics shown from 8/12 with no damage Men did not bring moving blankets and crushed my tv 3 men cornered me under duress and forced me to wave full compensation for the ** and changed the price of the quote they gave me 750 dollar tv broken ***** took responsibility and said he would fix the issue Never responded to my email.Need compensation for overcharging me and breaking my tv.Business response

We have since settle out and compensated her for damage to Flat Screen in the amount of $300.00. Please contact me if you have any other questions regarding this matter.
