Additional Information for RV Park ISP LLC

BBB promotes truth in advertising by contacting advertisers whose claims conflict with the BBB Code of Advertising. These claims come to our attention from our internal review of advertising, consumer complaints, and competitor challenges. BBB asks advertisers to prove their claims, change ads to make offers clearer to consumers, and remove misleading or deceptive statements. On December 1, 2023, BBB contacted RV Park ISP regarding advertised claims on their website https://www.rvparkisp.com/ and https://www.youtube.com/@RVParkISP and https://www.facebook.com/rvparkisp/ and https://www.linkedin.com/company/rvparkisp/. 

Advertised Claims:

Business Practices.  BBB, a public reporting entity, continually reviews and updates company records in an effort to ensure truthful information is reported. When BBB lacks a clear understanding of a company and how it operates, we give a high priority to reaching out to a company in an effort to gather facts and details, such as a full description of the services the company provides and their company addresses and contact information.  BBB requested RV Park ISP to provide clarification of their company address and phone number.  As of January 3, 2024, RV Park ISP has not responded to BBB's request.

Claimed Results.  BBB Code of Advertising states, claims relating to performance, energy savings, safety, efficacy or results for a product or service should be based on recent and competent testing or other objective data. 

Objective Superlative Claims. BBB Code of Advertising states, superlative statements in advertisements about the tangible qualities and performance values of a product or service are objective claims for which the advertiser must possess substantiation as they can be based upon accepted standards or tests.

Free. BBB Code of Advertising states, an advertiser may use the word "free" in advertising whenever the advertiser is offering an unconditional gift.  If receipt of the "free" product or service is conditional on a purchase, the advertiser must clearly and conspicuously disclose this condition with the "free" offer (not simply by placing an asterisk or symbol next to "free" and referring to the condition(s) in a footnote.) The advertiser must not have increased the normal price of the product or service to be purchased nor reduced its quality or quantity. Whenever such an offer is made advertisers must make clear at the onset all the terms and conditions of the offer.

Asterisks. BBB Code of Advertising states, an asterisk may be used to impart additional information about a word or term which is not in itself inherently deceptive. The asterisk or other reference symbol must not be used as a means of contradicting or substantially changing the meaning of any advertising statement. Information referenced by asterisks must be clearly and conspicuously disclosed.  

Negative Option Plans. BBB Code of Advertising states, any advertisement for a product or service that includes an offer to sell or provide consumers with additional products or services under a negative option feature must include a clear and conspicuous disclosure of all material terms of the negative option feature. Such material terms include: 1) the existence of the negative option feature 2) The cost of the additional goods or services 3) How consumers can cancel and avoid future shipments and charges; and 4) How consumers can return items they do not want. Additionally, Advertisers must avoid making disclosures that are vague, unnecessarily long or which contain contradictory language.  Advertisers must not interpret the consumer's silence, failure to take an affirmative action to reject products or services, or failure to cancel the agreement, as consent to enroll the consumer in the negative option feature. Instead, they must ensure that the consumer affirmatively consents (either online, over the phone, or in person) to the negative option feature before enrolling the consumer in the plan.  

BBB requested RV Park ISP to provide substantiation for their claims.  As of January 3, 2024, RV Park ISP failed to respond to BBB's request to substantiate or discontinue the advertised claims.
