We stayed one night on Saturday June 24, 2023, with a check-in of around 4:30 p.m. We checked out the following morning at around 9:30 a.m. When we got in the truck in their parking lot adjacent to the lobby entrance, we noticed things were moved around. We looked further and noticed three items were stolen, realizing the truck had been broken into during our stay. At that time we did not see any damage and the value of missing items was minimal, so we proceeded to our other destination for the day and then heading home back to ******. It wasn't until we got home in ****** that we saw the damage to the drivers outer door handle and noticed the truck does not lock. A call to **** estimates approximately $500-$600 to repair.My husband spoke to the manager of the hotel, ***************************, over the phone on June 28, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. and was told that since we didn't file a police report there is nothing they can do. They didn't even offer a refund of the $20 per day they charge for the parking lot we got broken into.Business response

Good afternoon. I am very sorry that this situation happened. Unfortunately the hotel is not responsible for any vehicle damage and we do have signage posted in all three lots . I do know that you called after departure to report and we did recommend filing a police report for any situations that occur for your insurance purposes as well as if the police would find any information about the situation they would be able to update you. Again I apologize for the situation and we have credited your account for the one night of parking as I thought we had already issued but after reviewing we did not. Please allow **** business days to see the credit.
