-Date of install-june 17, 2022 -Amount paid-$2,590 -Business committed to provide us with gutters. And in their work order it specifically says that gutters are installed to protect the structure from water damage. -The nature of dispute is that the gutters are not working as promised. They are leaking and was told we needed a drip ****. This was never mentioned to us, nor was it ever written on our contract. -We reached out to the business and they are saying for us to put drip edges on the roof. Also that they would give us $100 towards an $825 install. -We paid a company to install a product and expected it to be done correctly. Now we are supposed to hire another company to complete work we already bought.Business response

We are sorry that your gutter system is not working as expected. After speaking with you extensively and trouble shooting on your home, it is clear that your house needs to be brought up to current code with roof drip edge to help guide the roof water into the gutters. This wasnt in our scope of work and we dont do roofing or drip edge, which is why I referred you to a contractor that could help you with this issue! We have worked with them many times in the past to help customers bring their roof up to code. After you protested the extra cost of adding drip edge to your roof, I even offered to help you out with $100 of my money towards the drip edge installation. You didnt think that was a good deal and refused. You wanted me to pay half of the cost for updating your roof for which I am not responsible. You also asked me to come take down your perfectly good gutters because of this. Neither of which I am willing to do. We quoted you a professional gutter installation and we completed that contract. We sincerely hope that you get your drip edge up to code as recommended so that the whole house can be protected as it should be. All the best to you and yours!

I am rejecting this response because:The scoop of the work was for working gutters. The owners knew that this was going to be an issue and didn't inform us bc there was no money to be made on their due to the possibility of us backing out of the install. When I asked is this all I am going to need they said yes. It was never mentioned now that the gutters are not doing what they are meant to the owner seems to think that by belittling his customers this is going to fix the problem and get his company more business.
