I had items put on layaway and the last one, (queen size mattress), was paid out 9/1/22. The furniture was brought for my mother's home on the Southeast side of town, (which was unoccupied at the time of the original transaction and continues to be unoccupied). I made arrangements for the furniture to be delivered on 11/28/22 but the driver stated that he couldn't sat it up by himself. I called *****, (then the office mgr.), and he stated that the driver wasn't telling the truth yet the furniture was never delivered and was returned to the store. About a month later they arrived with the furniture at my mother's house and I was shocked when they called and asked where was I as the deliver was not arranged with me. The furniture was finally delivered on 2/17/23 but it was damaged. The delivery guys stated that they couldn't take it back due to having other delivers scheduled but related it would be changed out as soon as possible. Between 2/12/23 and 4/4/23 I'd made multiple attempts to have the damaged furniture removed but was just given the run around. On 4/5/23 I showed up in person but before entering the store I called ***** on my cell phone and he left me on hold for over an hour. When I went inside he said the dinette set was no longer available. I've attempted to work with ***** to just change out the damaged parts but to no success. I went back to the store this past Aug. or Sept., spoke to *****************, who informed me that ***** had been fired, and stated that he'd been transferred from the company's other store "****ress and Furniture for Less" to help out. I explained what happened, showed him all of my receipts upon request, and he assured me that he'd take care of everything. About a week later he said that the dinette set would not be in until Nov. When I didn't hear anything at the end of Nov. I called the store, spoke to ***** who stated that he was the owners grandson, and he stated there was no **** that works there.
