This place is bad don't come here. They ripped me off. I came here to only replace the thermostat on my 2012 ***** Pilot. According to industry standard MOTOR labor guides it takes about 1 hour to replace the part. I looked it up since I work in the car industry as well so I have access to labor guide information at my fingertips. Potranco charged me $350.00 for labor. That's over three times more than the industry standard guides suggest. If you want to get ripped off come to Potranco otherwise you will find better value elsewhere. The business will try to say that the charges not only include part replacement but also a diagnostic charge to figure out the issue with the vehicle. However, I know for a fact that ************************** on Potranco Rd close by don't charge for diagnostic. Please consider that when you take your vehicle for repair.

*****************, I am sorry if you feel as though we overcharged you. This was not just a part replacement charge, as you came in complaining about a possible coolant leak and overheating issue. In order for a technician to know what to replace there has to be some diagnosis. In this situation not only do we need to diagnose a leak and an overheating issue, but there are tests we need to apply in order to make sure the engine did not endure some more serious injury such as a blown head gasket. This diagnosis of the problem and potential issues requires special equipment and knowledge this amounts to costs. We do everything in our power to keep the costs of repairs down but also insure a quality job. The labor you looked up does not include these tests nor any diagnostic fee only the operation of a thermostat replacement. If you would like to talk about this repair I encourage you to call me. This gentleman had his vehicle towed to ** from another shop because they were going to charge him over $3200.00 on this repair. We helped him with his vehicle in an honest way the same as all of our customers. I feel this person needs to find a shop he can trust and stick with that shop. There are no shops in existence that will diagnose a problem on a vehicle at no charge. These technicians today are very knowledgeable in not only general mechanical repair but also computers as there are many computerized systems in vehicles today. Because of the knowledge they bear and the equipment required, it is a costly endeavor to not only diagnose but repair these vehicles of today.Review from Steven W

I had my ***** CX-5 towed to Potranco Automotive on Feb 23, 2022. I had overtightened one of the spark plugs and part of it fell into the cylinder. The next day they had my ***** fixed and ready to go at a reasonable price. The shop also advised my battery was dead and so they they charged it for me. Additionally, they advised me that my engine oil was a quart low, the coolant was low, and the transmission fluid needed changing soon. Wow! Thats a thorough examination of my car and its very much appreciated. I highly recommend Potranco Automotive for all of your vehicle maintenance and repair. Their prices are reasonable, the quality of work is excellent, and they are efficient and timely.Potranco Automotive, Inc. Response
