    Our company was contracted to deliver product to SCHC in Houston, TX on June 14, 2022 - upon delivering the product the unloader unfortunately damaged our trailer. The dock foreman / manager stopped the unloader before more damage was caused to our trailer. Initially the dock foreman / manager was very helpful and directed us to contact corporate regarding insurance information. We learned quickly that (it is not company policy to release insurance information) - in speaking the Chief AR/SC Manager she informed me that I needed to get 3 estimates - we waited overnight and cancelled a shipment due to damage so as to get the estimates. Great Dane in Houston gave us an estimate of $3,124.00. We attempted as requested to get estimates from 2 other trailer dealers in the area (they wanted $150 to write up estimates) since we were getting the run around I was not going to pay for estimates (nor was their an offer of such when it was later mentioned). We had a temporary patch installed on the trailer to get a load as well as get the trailer back to Kansas at a cost of $516.00 and passed on higher paying food grade loads due to the wall of the trailer having been torn open and temp. patch installed. We subsequently got a lessor paying load to Kansas and took the trailer to trailer shop for repairs. Later in the week I was told by the Chief AR/SC Manager that the owner wanted to resolve this without insurance company involvement (June 20th). I was informed that they SCHC had not received a damage estimate (email delivered June 14, 2022 has attachment showing otherwise). When I called in today to speak with the owner he still remains unavailable to speak with regarding this matter. Damage claim to date is $3640.00 excluding down time, lost wages for our driver and lost freight revenues.
