On 8-17-23 I brought my 2019 Chevrolet Corvette to Eastex Lube in *********** to have the oil changed. The car was not driven again until 8-26-23 and within 15 minutes the car started to smoke terribly from the exhaust and there was a very strong odor of burnt oil. I pulled over and had the car towed to ************. The certified mechanic found that approximately 9.5 quarts of oil were put in the car instead of the required 7 quarts. He also discovered that the oil was not the type of oil that I had paid extra for, it was very cheap oil. He did $2,405.34 worth of repairs plus $75.00 towing fee and a refund from the oil change in the amount of $126.52 for a total of $2,606.86. I was without the car for almost 3 weeks. When I brought the receipt to *********************** with Eastex Lube in *********** she was very evasive and not concerned about what she and her employees had done to my car. She blamed her computer for too much oil being put in the car and said she has new employees that are still "training". All I was told was that it will be a long time before I receive reimbursement. She never apologized for the negligence and had no concern about my car possibly being permanently damaged. The car still smells like burnt oil when it is driven and I have no way of knowing what will happen to the car in the future.Business response
