Rent A Center is the worst place to go to. They consistently lie to you. I ordered a carpet scrubber, signed the agreement and paid my first week rental payment. When the scrubber arrived at the store, i received a phone call from them. I was told that they will not sell me this scrubber because i turned in a vacuum and air cleaner that was dirty. ?this is not true. I was told that I would be refunded for the payment. I did not receive a refund for this. The girl that called was very rude and unprofessional. This store is in ******* **.pRent-A-Center, Inc. Response

I called the get it now store in *********** on 2/12/24 spoke with an associate and inquired about the amount of payments I have left, because according to my calculations I have paid above ***** and should be done paying on the merchandise, upon further investigation from the store Manager my contract was stretched to far out by the previous store manager **** which means Im paying higher interest and thats where my payments are going, this was wasnt explained to me initially,. The Manager stated he had a meeting and will bring the issue up to his Manger *******************. The store offered to split the remaining payment in half which meant I would have to pay ******, I disagreed because Ive already over paid. Went into the store today 02/15/24 spoke with the store manager who informed me that **** stated ( and I quote) well she came back and got something else so theres nothing I can do, yes that was before I figured out I was being charged these ridiculous fees, the store manager stated that he told **** that hes been fixing mistakes of the previous manager since he took over the store, so hes leaning towards my concern, He encouraged me to speak with **** over the phone and voice my concerns, which I did. **** was unprofessional and unwilling to listen, his words to me were what are you accusing us of, we dont make deals with customers. I expressed what my next steps would be concerning this matter and hung up the phone.This company is ridiculous and they literally hire anyone and dont care about the customers. Did not deliver what was promised. I waited for a stove for almost 2 months. They lied and said glass door was broken and had to be replaced. I was paying for a stove I wasnt even using. When they finally showed up with a stove it looked like they just repoed it from some one. I do not ever recommend renting from them. The used couch ( they claimed was cleaned) smelled like someone had animals on it.Rent-A-Center, Inc. Response

In all honesty, if could give this company, especially the store in ****************** a 0 on this review I would. I rented an 85 inch ** and an Xbox X from their store and was good about making my payments every week even if they were a day or two late. In late September, early October I gave back the ** because having two things on my account at the time was too much but I asked them to hold the ** for me as we wanted to get it back when my fianc got a job and he could make the payment instead, I was told by ***** that they would hold the ** until we could get it back. Not even three days later my fianc secured a job, so I called and asked for a redelivery, they said no as the ** was already rented out, SO I basically paid over $1000 dollars for nothing. In early November, my household fell into a very terrible financial crisis as a member of the ** lost her income and I was the only person in a 4 person ** bringing money in. I brought home less than 500 a week in a paycheck and had to pick and choose what bills I could pay and what I couldn't. Unfortunately RAC was one of the non-important bills at the time. I called the store and let them know I would be late on my payment and I was willing to make up the payment no matter the price when I got the money to do so and explained my situation. They had no sympathy what so ever, and said they wanted the **** back. I told them after what happened with the **, I was not willing to give them the item back and I would pay when I could. That wasn't good enough, they harassed me over the phone and at home, banging on my front door, upsetting my dogs, they would sit down the street and wait for someone to come out of the house and then ******* us. This past weekend was the worst, they showed up at my house, violently banged on my front continuously, tried opening the locked front door, threatened to sit at my house all night and yelled at us through the door, the bill has been paid but I don't appreciate the harassment.Rent-A-Center, Inc. I made a web request and placed $$ down to reserve a gas range I found. I was contacted by the store manager and was told it was previously rent and that it needed to be cleaned up and that it could be ready by Monday or Tuesday. I called them Tuesday and was told that there was something wrong with the range. I asked for them to try and find out for sure and let me know. This employee then called me back and said it would be Wednesday or Thursday. I called them back on Thursday and they AGAIN told me it would be another day or two. I received an email the following day that they would be refunding my money. BAD BUSINESS!!!! Now I must wait at least 72 hours for a refund and start the process of finding a range all over again.. Delivery guys arrived to bring a recliner along with paperwork to be signed. Upon reading the contract I noticed my monthly numbers werent properly aligned, in fact there was a line going through the amount as if it was crossed out. I circled the amount and initialed it. There was another section that I needed clarity with. The final part was the total agreement, which I needed to read first before signing.I signed. Upon entering my home with the chair it was tight, hallway narrow with art on walls. Opening to the room for placement is narrow with limited turn room. They placed the chair onto my hardwood floors to remove back panel, which was difficult. scratched up my wood floor. In the room, put back panel back on and I say, leave it there you already scratched my floors! I called the store to inform them..Im UPSET both delivery guys deny responsibility of scratches. *** on the phone scolds me seeming to agree with delivery guys, telling me how I called the store 7 times prior and I wasnt gonna sign the contract. I called needing confirmation of delivery, clarity on why I had to auto pay on a 2 months rental, agreement number to set up payment online etc. All valid. The delivery guys outright denied damages to my floor, removed the recliner from my home stating he was not renting to me and did a hard ****** of the paperwork from my hand and walked out. They didnt gage the hall or door openings first, if they had the back panel would have been removed before entering my home, didnt have padding on the chairs metal base, no cloth for wood floors in case they needed to place chair on the floor. I was terrified during the whole elevated process and while on the phone with the store I stated, Im calling the police Im still shaking and stressed with a headache from that whole intimidating event. Had my husband been home.it would have gone another way. Waiting on my refund and response to repairing my laminated floors!!!! FIRST TIME..LAST TIME.Rent-A-Center, Inc. Response

Mrs ***** with her rude unprofessional a** adds the people you refer to your application instead of processing their own application which came back to be approved for furniture at their own residence and when the person u referred doesn't pay she adds their bill to your account fraudulently .. Just because i'm a reference does not mean to penalize me for their non payment....... i've rented there recently and paid my dues not one late paymentRent-A-Center, Inc. Response

dont get paid on the same day every two weeks. My pay period are different some check are 80 some are 88,96 or 102 hour checks so my pay date differs but I do get paid every two weeks. so I never miss a payment on my stuff but sometimes it is not exactly on the payment date because of how my paychecks differ on the days and I have been dealing with a gentleman named ******* every month and every month he is incredibly nasty every month. He has some rude attitude towards me or something rude to say but this month kind of top it off he told me he wasnt gonna deal with my attitude when I expressed frustration with him and its quite funny because he didnt do this through text, I have never met a person that has treated me this way especially when I am spending my harder money on a place that I didnt have to go when theres other options for the exact products that I bought from them. Its sad when you know every month youre gonna get disrespected by somebody you dont even know. The store is in ********** **** *****Rent-A-Center, Inc. Response
