I had my 2006 **** Freestyle towed to AAMCO in late November 2021. It wouldn't accelerate and was getting a transmission fault. I explained to the technician Ray that the error was coming from the transmission based on my car manual. He explained they would run a diagnostic and let me know.I then received a call from Ray that the only way for them to complete the diagnostic was to replace the throttle body which was $619.04. I asked him if this would fix transmission fault and he said it would. I gave the approval with the understanding that the car would be fixed. Ray called and said the car was ready and was running. However, when I called to pick it up he said that when the technician started driving it again it didn't work property and that it needed a transmission amongst other parts. I went to get the car to take it to ***************** and ended up having it towed to the dealership.Upon speaking with the dealership they reported that the car needed a transmission and the throttle body had nothing to do with the problem. I would like my money for the throttle body to be refunded. I feel that I was taken advantage of and money was spent that didn't need to be spent.if needed, I can get the report from Bluebonnet to dispute this issue.
