In the beginning of August 2023, it was agreed upon myself and DND plumbing that they would replace all of the sewer lines and water lines in my home for the price on the estimate of $53000 in a total of 4 weeks.12 weeks later and the job was still not completed. They approached the sewer line and discovered that their water lines were 8 inches lower than my current sewer line and informed me for another $10000 They would put in my new sewer line with an expectation to pay the city $750 for a new tap. At that time, I told them I was not interested in continuing with them, and would use another plumber. They of course, expected full payment for their services.I received several estimates from other plumbers to discover that not only was the job that I was going to pay $56000 for only a total of $20000. But they had made a mistake and should have started from the sewer line with the new lines and most likely, my new tap line would be $10000 - $30000, not $750. I was told that more than likely, it would be best that I do all of my lines all over again because of the tap issue. This complaint is because I would like D&D to discontinue attempting to receive any form of payment from me, as well as for the general public to be aware of their business practices: failure to maintain the deadline, refusal to admit fault, attempts to make you pay for their mistakes, and their incompetence. And risk although they are a well-known long-standing company. This was a ridiculous mistake that I feel I should have been compensated for as a customer let alone not to not be expected to pay them. Especially since nearly ************************************************************************ the remodeling of my home where I live as a single mom with 6 children with no kitchen, no washer machine, and a half working bathroom.

In August we received confirmation from the customer to begin working on a redrain inside the home as well as re-piping hot and cold-water lines overhead. When we began the job, we ran into the slab being 8" to 9" thick when a typical slab is 4" thick. We worked with the customer on where they would like the lay out of the plumbing for the bathroom. The customer was living in the home with dependents, so we worked hard to keep the space cleaned up daily and allowing there to always be a functioning full bathroom. The contractor was unable to work closely with lack of communication and we did our best to accommodate any and all changes the customer wanted to make throughout the process. We began the job on 8/17 and 11/7th we came to a haul on the job because of the main sewer line. The main sewer line had been replaced previously by another company and was graded higher than the new up to code plumbing being installed in the home. We met with the customer to discuss what the issue was and the next steps to get the issue resolved. The main sewer line will have to be lowered as well as the city tap will have to be lowered by a city contractor. These lowered taps run around 750 for paved alley ways per the city. We have received a partial inspection for the work that has been completed and it passed as up to code. We have contacted the customer multiple times and tried to work with her to get the issue resolved. At this time the customer has requested for us not to come back on property. We are working to received payment for what has been done and have requested to come back out and finish the work we have begun in the home.

We have had some issues with D&D Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning **** regarding a gas line that was installed at a Midland residence and wanted to bring this to your attention. The customer was initially given a verbal estimate of $700 by a supervisor. After two days with 2-3 contract workers, a trench was dug and the gas pipeline replaced. Upon completion, customer was told the cost would be $7875 and payment was expected at that time. When he asked for an itemized bill, they would not give it to him until he paid the full amount. He was verbally threatened with a lien being placed on his house if he did not pay the full amount. The customer called D&D requesting an itemized statement to verify cost of pipe, labor, etc. On December 13, 2022, he received a bill showing the materials listed out but not the costs associated with each item. Everything was listed under labor as 1 unit charge of $7820. This price appears very high compared to what we can see what it should be online. Again, this increase in price was never agreed to by the customer. Customer requested payment options as he is a senior citizen on a fixed income. No alternative options were available only full payment. Then he received a notice with intent to file a lien on all or part of property and other significant consequences. Our dispute with ***** Plumbing Heating and Air Conditioning ****:- Never informed of any increase in cost from original verbal estimate given by the supervisor. Only told upon completion to pay $7875 or would file a lien on property. - Despite what letter of intent to file a lien states, customer never agreed upon the $7875 price before work started. Only agreed to the pipeline replacement and the original estimate of $700. - Customer never received any written estimate or any verbal feedback that price would increase. Also, no signed agreement was issued.- We still need an itemized statement showing each item and its cost as well as cost of labor showing type of work, rate and number hours worked.- The letter of intent to file a lien is threatening. Customer did ask for payment options and was told only could pay full amount or was threatened again with a lien. Very poor customer service and public relations. After receiving such poor service and lack of cooperation from D&D, we would never recommend this company to anyone much less use them again. It is our intent to pay despite all of this, but we expect that the company would work with us in doing so.Customer does not have online services to be able to voice his concerns to D&D. We are his out-of-town family trying to support him on this.

On 12/6/2022 we responded to the location noted by the customer that there was a gas leak and they had been shut off by Atmos. While on location the license plumber was able to determine that the gas line going to the house was not holding and need to be replaced. At that time the plumbing supervisor reasoned to the location and spoke to the customer about the issues and what it would take to get the gas line holding and up to city and state code for the gas to be turned back on. At that time the plumbing manager provided the customer with a price of $7875.00. The price was discussed and given to the customer multiple times and was agreed upon before starting the work. Once the job was completed, inspected by the city and ready to be collected then the issue with the price was addressed with us by the customer. We have reached out to the customer multiple times with an invoice of what parts were used on the location and information pertaining to the job. The lien process was begun after a set amount of time. It is ***** State law that the lien is issued with in a  time frame or it will not be reconnized by the state. The issue has been spoke to the customer that we collect at time of service.

7/28/22–Air conditioning unit they installed (still under warranty) quit working. They came and checked it and charged us 800$ for coolant. We found out the unit was defective. They said they would replace it and we should get refunded the money for the coolant. Still no replacement. Still no refund. We have called every week now for several weeks with no resolution. This affects on half of our house which we have been unable to use because of the heat.

On August 2nd 2022 we responded to the location and diagnosed a leak in the condenser coil. The condenser was noted to be under warranty through the manufacture. The condenser was installed in August of 2019. Our company carried a 1 year labor warranty on installed material and the manufacture of this particular piece of equipment carries a 10 year warranty. The manufacture warranty does not carry any coverage on refrigerant, and this makes the customer responsible for the price of the refrigerant placed into the unit. With this part being under warranty we have to order it directly from the supplier. We have continued to check on the part through the manufacturer and it has been ordered through factory. The last update we were given on 9/27/2022 is that the part is being prepared to ship through *** ** but no shipping number has been generated. Unfortunately, we are not able to render anything for the customer until the condenser coil is delivered and we are able to install.
