I thought that I was creating an account with Securestec online. This company was under the secures search. I mistakenly filled out their form thinking I was creating the account with Secures. I was not purchasing anything, just forming an account, when I pushed submit, they took ***** out of my account. I immediately called and explained what happened. I received an email stating that they cancelled my account and will receive a refund after they research. I will then receive a refund within 5 business days to the card I put on file. I waited a few days then called back for an update. I was then pleaded with to give them a try. I said I am not looking for your service. the transaction was a mistake. this went on for about 6 emails back and forward. finally, they told me I didn't read their conditions, and they can only refund ***** of the amounts they took. I told them this was unacceptable. I immediately called them the second the ***** left my bank for a refund and was told I would get one after investigation. There was nothing to investigate, I did not need their service, and they never gave me service. They now want to keep almost 20 dollars of my money because I mistakenly filled out their form thinking I was filling out Securus's form to help my son. this is thievery. I was attempting to set up an account with $20 so a friend who was recently incarcerated could call me. After putting in my card info, I recieved a notice from my bank stating that the company in question charged my account $49.98. Without my permission. I immediately emailed the support team and requested a refund. The agent tried numerous times to get me to reconsider, even after me explaining the situation, then only tried to refund me $30. I never agreed to sign on the to the service they logged me under and I never used the service as I reached out directly after getting the notice from my bank. As many others on this site. I created an account with ****************** and once my account was created I was charged a fee of $49.98. When I selected view pricing before I even created an account it was not viewable. I immediately asked for a refund once my account was charged and was offered a refund of $30.00. I have many emails back and forth with this company. As previously seen they respond with the same emails sent to many others. This company is receiving a free $19.99 with each customer that has this same issue. Before charging I should be made aware of the amount of money coming off my card and further more money should not be deducted for creating an account.Business Response

i was sent a link to schedule a video visit with my incarsarated brother it prompt me to create a login. thats simply all i did was essentially create a login upon pressing complete i get an email that they signed me up for three months of a jail phone number charging my account *****! nowhere did it state or did i give consent for the amount charged and the page did not display any kind of phone membership. i have tried contacting customer support but the page reads error and calling anybody i just get hung up on, and said they will reach out to me. they did email me begging me to continue their service offering no way to cancel the membership.Business Response

This company is a scam advertising as a jail talk service. They take your credit card info before telling you a charge amount. Then they just charge your card $50. There have been SEVERAL complaints. People can not afford to be scammed out of $50. This is evil.Business Response

My nephew is incarcerated and I needed to set up an account to receive calls. I went online and ************************** came up as the company to use. I paid $49.95. My nephew tried to call and it still didnt work. I called the jail and was informed they only use **************. I reached out to securtel for a refund and informed them they are false advertising because the jail does not use their company. I was told I would only get $30 back. I was searching companies that assist with contacting a friend who is incarcerated. The contact message advised me to go to Secure ********. The company ************************* came up in a search. I was seeking information and the application asked for data ; name, phone and credit card. This info had to be entered before seeing the cost. When the final screen displayed the total fee, I "X'd" out and did not hit the submit button. This company charged me and enrolled me in a subscription.I immediately contacted them and advised of the above mentioned and requested a full refund. They have refused to process my refund despite my explaining that I did not submit and will not be needing their services.The responses to my request are answered by "bots" and I can not reach a human.Business Response

Tried to set up an account for my girlfriend who is incarcerated at ***************** in ** and was redirected from the website i thought I was using to a ************************* or Securtel which is one and the same. There services are NOT accepted at ***************** and we can't use them. I tried calling the customer service number on the website and it just answers and automatically says goodbye. The money was taken without asking anykind of amount i wanted to pay or anything securtel or *********************** took the money and took it upon themselves to chose the amount to take.... The only way any response has been sent to me is through email just trying to prolong giving me a refund or to not give me my money back at all. I've seen several and I mean several cases reported to the BBB about this business and doing people the exact same way they've done me. Please help me in getting this business shutdown or atleast the word out about them. And I would like a refund of my money because this is pure fraud.Business Response
