Quite frankly, this is a review that, in some ways, I hate to write. Until this latest situation, he and his crew had done some good work for me in the past and we got along well. The latest was the installation of a roughly 5 ft x 5 ft window that his guys installed for me about 3 years ago. A few weeks ago we noticed this large window was leaking. He was busy, so I took out the glazing bead to see if I could figure out the problem. There was a lot of dirt/debris in the bottom of the window and the paint on my window sill was cracked indicating that this leak had been going on for quite some time. A short while after taking the glazing bead off, I had to leave for a meeting, When I came back, the window had fallen in, broken into thousands of pieces and damaged my king size bed, night stand and flooring. I have replaced a couple of my windows and it is a nightmare to separate the window from the frame because of the caulking, so it didn't seem to me like this should have happened. I talked with 3 experienced installers who said this should not have happened and confirmed my belief. So, I tried to politely express this to ****** and suggest that he should pay for some of the damage and his response was basically that he wasn't going to pay for my new furniture (I was asking for repair cost, not new furniture) and that this was MY mistake for taking the glazing bead off and not waiting to see what happened (which isn't true) and says there was no 'warranty' on the repair. This was clearly due to poor installation, never should've happened, and will cost me a lot of time and money to repair. Off to small claims court.
