I had this company come out and install a new roof, replace all the facia boards, replace 3 wooden posts. The contract was signed on 04/16/2018 however the work did not begin until approx. 04/28/2018. 05/06/22, we noticed some of the quality of wood was poor and was already beginning to warp and we noticed the wood posts did not have the risers/footings underneath as we asked, but instead he chose to build wood around them. May 10th, he advised they were done. We do not live full time out there, so we trusted *** w/ a key - he went to school with our oldest son and honestly, we trusted him because of that. Approx. Oct. ******************************** the living room and he never came out and looked at it he sent someone out and they stated the roof was "snagged" perhaps by a squirrel. That was very concerning to us, but we paid him and didn't want to hassle the roof as we had some issue that needed to be dealt with inside due to the water damage from the new leak. which only got fixed on approx. Mar 2019 by a new contractor because *** was too busy. Now 09/17/22 I noticed the facia boards and the build up around the 3 new posts we are deteriorating and needs to be replaced. Sent Ben ****** and he "apologized but has no idea what would cause it to deteriorate and the sub he used would not be able to warranty anything. The wood is now crumbling and where they used caulk it is now separating. I was not aware that *** had subed this job out and my contract is with *************************, 1st Quality Roofing and Construction. He has a 5.0 rating, but the rating is from his mom.
