On, 10 August 2023 I paid Killeen Heating and Air $154 to clean clear out the drain for my ** unit. Over the next several months my tenants continued to submit a work order stating the ** was leaking in my attic and Killeen Heating and Air was called out again. On 19 October 2023, they informed my property managers that my ** was leaking refrigerant and needed to be replaced, providing a quote of $5,954.75. They were caught on security camera spending less than 15 minutes diagnosing the problem with my unit. I opted to get a second opinion and after an assessment the other company determined I just had a clogged drain line and there was no refrigerant leak. Killeen Heating and Air did not clean the drain line and attempted to get me to buy a new system that I did not need. Additionally, they delayed the repair to my ceiling as a result of the water damage by months causing undue stress to my tenants. This is not so much about $154 as it is they blatant attempt to fraud me out of nearly $6,000.Business response

I am rejecting this response because: they could not provide any evidence to the contrary, or even a complete sentence for that matter. They know they're wrong, they know they lied, they know that they never even fixed the drain line because I have two more work orders that state as much.Below is copied text from the e-mail that my property management company sent me:
Hello!
This is a follow up Email for your tenant's Work Order regarding the ** leaking water into the emergency overflow pan. After further inspection Killeen Heating & Air has determined that the ** needs to be replaced due to there being a refrigerant leak.
To proceed, we simply need your written approval and funds added upfront since this does exceed the property maintenance limit of $500.00. Payment can be submitted through your online portal. (Estimate Amount: $5,953.75)
Please see the attached estimate for details, then let us know how you wish to proceed.

**************It went from "water leaking into the overflow" to having a refrigerant leak and needing a whole new system really quickly... but once I dispatched someone else out there, it was all just a bunch of nonsense. Please, explain precisely where I am the one who is being dishonest, because the evidence isn't on your side. I have zero reason to lie... I didn't go through with the purchase and the issue got fixed for $300 from another vendor, I just want my $154 back for you failing to correct the real issue. Just send the money back to ******************** and they can deposit it into my account.

There is no lie.
The unit was low on refrigant.
We charged with 2 lbs of 410
We didn't charge for it.
We will refund the ****** for the call 2 months earlier just because he is requesting it.

We understand the customer's issue. We have been in business since the 70's because we are honest contractors who provide what we promise.
We NEVER want a dissatisfied customer.
We charged unit back up at no charge before sending estimate, because due to heat during this time we didn't want to leave tenant without AC. That being said we will be happy to refund the call from a month earlier about a water leak.
Have owner contact us with name and address to send check for ****** to and we will send.
We are Not perfect and do make mistakes, but we always try to leave our customers happy our record for 50 years has been positive.
We stand by our estimate and work order we completed but are happy the customer got his problem repaired.
