On July 9, 2020, we entered into a contract with ProStar Builders Inc, ***** ******** ** *** **** ******** ** **********. In this contract we agreed to pay $34,000.00 to have Prostar Builders Inc install a Hurricane Shake Pro metal roof on our home (see attached contract and summary timeline). The roofing system was improperly installed and incomplete. Numerous discussions, inspections, and written correspondence has since occurred with the company owner / executives. The company agreed the roofing system was improperly installed due to inexperienced staff performing the installation and our current improperly installed roofing system should be removed and a new roofing system installed. These conclusions are all documented in either email or text messages. During our attempts to resolve our concerns with the improperly installed roofing system we have met with numerous delays, and avoidance / blackouts in communication sometimes for months on end. We have made numerous efforts via dozens of emails, hundreds of text messages, and numerous phone calls to work toward a resolution to our concerns. We have spent countless hours of personal time attempting to communicate our issues with the roof which included sending over a hundred photographs / videos of obvious problem areas found with our current improperly installed roofing system. Despite our patience and good faith efforts to work with ProStar Builders Inc, it is now clear we will not see any resolution without external assistance. It is also evident should we continue working with ProStar Builders Inc, any future roofing warrantee work would likely meet with the same delays and avoidance. As a result we are requesting a full refund of our initial payment, adjusted for inflation, in order to pursue a local resolution to our improperly installed roofing system.
