I have been with this company for over five years and I needed an upgrade on my cell service which cost $300. I requested to have my service canceled in October 2022, and in November 2022. They continued to withdraw money out of my bank after I've discontinued my service.. when I contact them, no one wants to handle the refund that I was told when I originally recorded this dispute. No one from management will call me and keep telling me she's not available. I will not ever use this service again, and I recommend that to anyone looking to do business with them..Review from Joseph M

Every long distance trip my wife and I are on, we're both retired and we travel a lot, the doorbell camera goes off line and can only be brought on line while I'm standing next to it. It's hard to do that from ********, *******, ************ or wherever! We constantly have false alarms. There's always a certain alarm that goes off all the time. When it happens at home we laugh it off because we'll be sitting on the couch watching TV and the panel voice will say such and such area opened. Now when we're out that's a different matter, we've driven back numerous times to find no break-ins, it's gotten to the point where we tell the monitoring company to ignore it if it's that certain area and just let the alarm keep ringing. I didn't realize all costs for maintenance for the system comes out of my pocket and no extended warranty was offered. That was not explained to me. I'm sure it's in the contract but it was my fault for trusting them. Buyer beware if you go with this company!Review from Hidalia T

Poor customer service. Have made attempts to contact customer service to cancel my service and was told to send a request via email for cancelation. Still have gotten no response. Canceling service shouldn't be such a hassle. Plus my monthly rate was increased after original provider sold contract to VIo.Vio Security, LLC Response

I would caution anyone to use a different security company. My control panel started beeping during the day and I could not control it via the app as I usually do. I called and was told the panel needed to be reset that everything would be working again in 24 hours. It continued to beep and I couldn't control it nor my AC, as I once did. I called again and was told the system needs to be upgraded for an additional fee. I don't feel that I shouldn't have to pay a fee to have the system work. In my opinion this is on them. Additionally, they just took the payment out of my bank; knowing the system no longer works. I called to speak with a supervisor. I was on hold 38 minutes only to be told a supervisor is not available. I would hope that if you are thinking about using Vio as your security system that you reconsider this decision carefully.Review from Gayle W

They will debit your account even app even after you cancel! Don't ever get involved with them. They will sign you up on a contract, and continue to renew your contract without your permission. It's not honest at all. They're customer service appears to be all family and very rude. Do not use VIO. You will loose money. If you send a request to cancel by email or phone, they will loose your request. I would like to vote NO stars for VIO!Review from Valerie & Abdul E

This the most UNSCRUPULOUS/UNETHICAL business we have ever dealt with. We signed a contract few years back 2013. They never explain their cancellation policy. We weren't aware of an AUTO RENEWAL as the salesperson never told us!!. Per GHS direction (over the phone), we contacted their office in writing July 2021 prior to selling our house. We indicated that due retirement, we no longer can afford/ or need their services which is not feasible in our out of state retirement accommodations. Since we have contacted GHS in writing 30 days prior to our last bank draft, we considered that our house no longer monitored by GHS. Additionally, prior to putting of our home for sale, we replaced all windows and renovated many walls. Therefore, all windows' sensors/control panel were removed. Then, what is GHS/VIO monitoring since the renovation work in our house were completed months earlier?. To our unpleasant surprised, our family friend copied us on billing request letters in our mailbox of our vacant/for sale house asking for past due payments and monthly monitoring charges!!!. After several times calling, I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told they could have someone call me back (NO CALL BACK). We cannot make or continue making any payments for services no longer provided or needed. WE GIVE VIO/GHS ONE STAR FOR THEIR UNETHICAL BUSINESS PRACTICE. THEY DESERVE MUCH LOWER RATING. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. BEWARE!!!Review from Shayla C

I would not recommend anyone go with this company. I've been with them right at a year and I am already having equipment issues. My panel went down almost a month ago. I've called over 30 times since. They sent a replacement piece out and it arrived damaged. They have lied for the last 2 weeks as if they have resent the piece out. No one can give me a tracking number though. What's the point in having a security system if it doesn't work. The call times are ridiculous and once you get ahold of someone they place you on hold and leave you there. I would NOT recommend this company. You are better off just getting Ring or something else.Review from Johnetta P

I would like to cancel my service per the following explanation.
I started having issues with my panel in October of 2021. The error message was radio modem network failure. I called VIO security and was told that my panel was old and it was on a 2G network. The representative stated that it needed to be upgraded to a 5G network and that they would have a service tech call to schedule a time to come out and upgrade. Never received a call, so I called back in November, 2021 and was told that there is no service tech in my area. I then asked to cancel my billing until this issue could be resolved. The representative said that they would cancel the billing. I have called numerous times to stop the billing. Each time, I was told a representative would call me back or have a supervisor contact me. As of August 2022, I am stilled being billed.
I called and spoke to Wesley and was told that I needed to submit a cancellation letter. I have never been told this since the beginning of this issue. Per the representative, I have faxed, mailed, and emailed the requested information to cancel my service and to request a refund dating back to November 2021 in the total amount of $519.75 effective immediately.
I originally started with Monitronics, GHS, and now VIO. I have been a loyal customer and would hate to think this is how VIO treats loyal customers.Review from Mary R
