Hi Mr. **************** appreciate the opportunity to clarify your account history with ******** & Associates.
Our records indicate that you initially enrolled with us & signed the Appointment of Agent form on April 27, 2020, with an expiration date noted as December 31, 2020. However, on May 12, 2023, you submitted a new Appointment of Agent form without an expiration date, thereby authorizing us to continue representing you in your property tax matters. Additionally, you provided updated photos of your property, which were used in the 2025 property tax protest.
The due invoices that you received for tax year 2025 total $107.50 are valid, reflecting our service during that period. We understand your concerns and, as of July 18, 2025, we have canceled your account. You will not receive any further services from Oconnor & Associates going forward.
If you have any questions or require documentation regarding your file, please don't hesitate to contact us at ************.

This business advertised for property tax reduction services to my mom, an elderly lady who is 72 years old, who agreed to using their services in April 2024 for the 2024 property tax appeal. The appeal result is disappointing so that she did not wish to engage them further. despite this business contacting her many times in 2025, she refused to proceed with them for further engagement even when they offered her a $75 gift card.On June 23, 2025, ******** emailed an invoice seeking property tax appeal fee of $181.17 for 2025 appeal. When we questioned this invoice, they send an appointment letter which was executed in April 2024, authorizing them to represent **** in front of the Texas state tax authorities. We did not sign or agree with any service engagement for 2025. We do not believe we should be paying this invoice, since we never agreed to their services for 2025.Business Response

Hi Ms. ****************** style="font-size: 0.875rem;">OConnor & Associates was authorized to represent Ms. **** through the Appointment of Agent form (Form ******) signed in April 2024. As stated in Step 9 of this form, (see attachment) the agreement remains in effect until the client either specifies an expiration date or submits a written cancellation request or call to cancel the service. In this case, no expiration date was indicated, and no cancellation request was received prior to the issuance of the 2025 invoice.
We understand that Ms. ***** no longer wishes to continue with our services. As a courtesy, we have canceled the account as of today, June 25, 2025, and have waived the 2025 invoice in the amount of $181.17. No further services or billing will occur.
We regret any confusion or inconvenience this may have caused and we consider this matter resolved.
Thank you,

We are writing to formally state that the signatures attributed to us on the Form ****** submitted by OConnor & Associates are not valid. These signatures were not provided by us and are, therefore, fraudulent.
For the 2023 property tax protest, we authorized Property Tax Protest to represent us. Attached are the properly executed Form ****** documents bearing our authentic signatures, authorizing Property Tax Protest to represent us for 15 specific properties. The properties that OConnor & Associates claim to represent are among these 15.
As OConnor & Associates were not legally authorized to act on our behalf and submitted forged documentation, we hereby demand that all invoices issued by OConnor & Associates related to this matter be voided immediately.Sincerely,

In 2024 I started receiving threatening messages from ******** Property Tax Reduction experts where they claimed I had hired them to contest my property taxes for both 2022 and 2023. I had never heard of this company before there calls and emails started saying I owed them money. They then provided a blatantly false form which was made up to look like I digitally signed a document, but it had no fees or verbiage of what "I" was supposedly "hiring" them for. The threats increased, phone calls would come from a call center in ***** until in early ******************************* for services I never hired them for, nor had I ever spoken to them, or had even heard of them until they fraudulently started targeting and harrassing me.Business Response

At ******** & Associates, we prioritize transparency and ensure that all clients fully understand the terms and conditions of our services. We offer various communication channels to make sure that our clients have a clear understanding of the process.
According to our records, you signed up for our services via our online portal in June 2021. During this process, you electronically signed the necessary authorization documents, which granted us the authority to represent you in protesting your property taxes until you request to cancel our service. We were successful in reducing the assessed property tax value for both 2022 and 2023. This resulted in significant savings on your property tax, and as a standard procedure, we issued an invoice for the tax savings received for those years.
In light of your concerns and to resolve this matter amicably, we have decided to waive the outstanding invoices totaling $920.27 which included legal fees. Additionally, your account has been inactivated as of May 11, 2024, and no further action will be taken regarding this matter.
While we believe the services provided were in accordance with the signed appointment of agent form, we hope that waiving the invoices and deactivating your account will address your concerns. We sincerely apologize for any confusion or inconvenience caused regarding this matter.

I contacted ******** and Associates in 2023 to fight the appraised value of my residential property. The results were satisfactory and I paid ***************** 2024, I decided to dispute my home's appraisal value myself. I completed the necessary paperwork. I attended a hearing on 5/16/2024 and was successful in reducing the appraised value by $27,286.On October 9, 2024, I received an email for a past due balance of $334.11 for services provided in 2024. This was the first communication with ******** in 2024.I contacted customer service on 10/10/2024 and was told that ******** had attended the appraisal hearing on 5/16/2024 not me and to prove that I attended the hearing. I contacted *** ****, ******************************* Lead with ********** CAD for assistance. His records reflect two hearings regarding my residential property. I attended one and ******** attended a second hearing later in the day. ******** was only able to reduce the appraised value by $1,000. Apparently when I contacted ******** in 2023, unbeknownst to me, I authorized the company as my agent. I sent an email 10/16/2024 outlining all this information to ************************************ On 10/17/2024, I received a response thanking me for the email and that it would be added to my file. On 11/05/2024 I received another billing statement. I once again reached out by phone and email. The representative stated she had no records of my prior email. We are being billed for $334.11 which is based on the property tax reduction that I achieved. ($27,286). ******** was only able to reduce the appraised value by $1,000. At no time prior to the October bill did ******** contact me. As an agent (again, unbeknownst to me), they received copies of my protest and my hearing date/time, yet they did not contact me. They did not send any hearing results and the first billing statement was 5 months later.I question whether this experience represents fraud or simply very poor record keeping.Business Response

This consultant firm claims that I acquire their services to reduce property taxes. They send me an authorization form that has my name (as my signature on it). As a Marketing proffesional, this type of information can be obtained by a simple for to capture leads on a website. When I call the first time, I noticed costumer service was a call center in *****, so I assume it was scam. However, I did notice this year they showed up on my property tax as feduciary and I never authorized their services. Their website list different phone numbers to reach out. I need the off my property tax and I want to undestand how such business is legal in this country.Business Response

In October of 2024, we received a letter with a past due invoice from a company called ****************************** They were seeking several hundred dollars from us for property tax reduction services, which they claimed we had requested. We contacted their customer service department for more information and they sent us an Appointment of Agent form dated May 22, 2021 (about three and a half years ago!), which has an electronic signature and IP address. The problem is that we never had any dealings with this company before, we never agreed to pay anything, and we never signed this form electronically or otherwise. This form appears to have a fraudulent IP address. Since we did not hire this company, we do not owe them anything, and request for this bill to be cancelled. Also request for this company to stop contacting us.Business Response

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We understand that there was some confusion regarding the terms of our service and the process involved in appealing your property taxes. We apologize for any frustration this may have caused.
To clarify, we enrolled you in our service on 5/22/2021 and began representing you to appeal your property tax values in 2022. While we were not able to secure a reduction in 2022 or 2023, we were pleased to successfully reduce your property tax values for 2024. According to our agreement, our service continues an annual basis unless you choose to terminate it, which you did on 10/8/2024.
We understand that there may have been some miscommunication regarding our terms and how our billing works. To resolve this, we have waived the invoice and cleared any outstanding balance on your account.
We appreciate your understanding and hope this helps clarify the situation.Initial Complaint

I contacted ******** and Associates to help reduce my property taxes. They were a no call no show to my hearing. Did not contact me, did not respond to my call regarding this after I called to inform them. They said they would look into it and get back to it and I never heard back from them. Since they did not uphold their end of their contract my business with them was done. If our initial experience was this I had no desire to use them further. Some months later I received a call from them about an invoice for reducing my taxes for the following year. I told them at this time that I never requested any additional service since they did not show up to the last hearing was never contacted about representation for another hearing, and never got back with me about the first one, that I no longer wished to do business with them and did not want them to do anything on my behalf moving forward. Their response was that I signed a contract that allows them to continue to represent me indefinitely. I informed them that not only were perpetual contracts illegal, but the contract was voided when they did not uphold their end of it but they continue to send me invoices, call me continuously and I do not wish to do business with a company that operates like this.Business Response
