My grandson has been interested in trains since he was a baby. He is now seven years old and plans on being a conductor when he grows up. My husband who is now 70 years old received a Lionel train when he was five or thereabouts. My grandson played with his train and was so saddened when the transformer burned up and he could not play with it anymore. Just by sending the owner, Allyn (sp.?), a couple of pictures, he knew exactly what we needed and what size tracks. I called him up and told him that I was five minutes away from picking up my grandson and I had not received the package yet. He said he had it sitting right there and he overnighted it to us! I don’t think any other company would’ve done that! The huge transformer did come in damaged. My grandson got it to work and we had already planned an outing to the Papa Bens Trains the following day. Allyn said he could just put another dial on it and will ship it to me and gave us a transformer to borrow in the meantime! I’m guessing he could tell that I’m honest and I will send the borrowed transformer to him once I receive the new transformer. I like this guy and the store is well worth the hour and 15 minute drive to get there from our little town where we live. There is everything having to do with trains. The employee was willing to help us carry out what we had bought and brought with us in the heavy box that we had. My grandson was so happy that he didn’t want help carrying it out.
