We had a small (basically one room of furniture) to be moved from my sister's house to our house. I chose Eurmove over two other companies that I got estimates from and I've come to really regret it. The movers themselves were fine. They did a good job. However...I was told I had to make a 20% deposit. The estimate was $625, so the deposit should have been $125. This first problem is my fault for not paying more attention, because the contract I signed stipulated that the deposit would be $250. Normally I would have realized right away that that was 40% and not 25%, but it slipped right past me & I gave them my credit card number. After the move was completed - over a week later - one of the movers got a call & handed his phone to me. It was, I presume, the owner. He said the final charge was $715. He pushed for me to pay with ****** which I had not set up, before finally agreeing to take a check. Now I made my second mistake. In the interim between setting up the move & the actual move I had completely forgot about the deposit, so I wrote a check for $715. As for that final amount, I realized later that I wasn't given a receipt or invoice to show how that amount was arrived at. The paperwork that they left was simply a sheet with info on choosing a mover. When it dawned on me later that I had forgot about the deposit, I checked my credit card account online and found they charged me a $375 deposit! I contacted Eurmove to get that refunded and, again, he pressed to do it via ***** rather than just crediting my credit card. I went ahead & set up ***** and told him I had done so but, supposedly, they had already sent the credit to my credit card account. That was 4/13. It's now 4/30 and I still have not received the credit on my account.

Michael, We are happy to give you back your money on the entire move. We are not interested in taking money on services we have not provided and Eurmove did provide this service. The only mistake we made was failing to apply the deposit on your invoice before giving you the final bill. This was an honest mistake A check will be made to you today and we would consider this case close once you get reimbursed.
