  Zero stars for HMA Services. I have the same complaints as everyone else! I signed up in 2022 and initially had a card to use. Now, good luck getting anything paid. I have over $5,000 in an account right now and was told on the phone today that they would only reimburse me half of a $160 medical bill I paid out of pocket for. My money is held hostage. Im debating taking the loss, to save my $130 a month they ***** from me.

  I am in the same boat as everyone else I bought into this in 2022. It was fine when we had a **** card, but then they quickly took that away once I checked that way it made it virtually impossible to get anything paid. They have taken over $5000 out of my account and approved a claim, but refused to send out the check to the provider. I have made multiple calls and even been hung up on called a liar and told I was overreacting when I was just trying to get an answer to where this check is and why it hasn't been sent out in over two months. I am at a loss and I'm not sure where to turn at this point, but I am soon to head to collections if I can't get this bill paid and it's no longer in my account.

  PLEASE RUN FROM THIS COMPANY!!I joined in 2020 hoping for a place to put health savings for any ******, prescriptions, deductibles, etc. that wouldn't be covered by my insurance or that I would need to pay out of pocket for. Things were great at first. They provided a card to pay for transactions, etc. Then, the card wouldn't work. Then, they only started reimbursing 50% of anything that I submitted and not only that, they pick and choose what to cover. Prescription drugs can only be reimbursed if you use their plan. They will only cover a FNP visit if there is an MD associated with them, they will only cover chiropractic visits if you don't have accupuncture, etc. I know there is a class action law suit that has been filed against this company. Many, many customers (including myself) are upset left without recourse to get the money they contributed reimbursed. If you choose to stop contributing, you forfeit any money that is available in the account. Please, stay away from this company! They aren't helpful with medical expenses, they will just take your money and make you and your provider jump through hoops.

  The company initially seemed promising. Started our account several years ago to get Lasik covered. The Lasik WAS covered, but starting last year things really went downhill. My dentist office had been paid fine up until last April, and now they cannot get paid for claims submitted. Many calls. I even had the customer service *** speak directly to the office manager to walk her through how to submit claims. Nothing is working and we have a lot of money in the account. We know others who have had similar issues. **************** is hard to get a hold of. If I cancel, all the money is lost. I tried to get the lower level of benefit to not have a "maintenance fee" but they tried to upsell me the "platinum" benefit of being able to look up providers in the network and submit claims yourself. In any case, I can't even get my own money back that I put in and it is discouraging.

  When I signed up for this service several years ago it was a fabulous deal. The company is a private attempt to provide HSA services to everyone without dealing with government restrictions. They get around the tax implications of the money they provide by making sure the money is spent on tax deductible medical services. They make up for the tax advantages of HSA's they match part of your donations with more than the tax advantages. When I first signed up for the program they provided a debit card to the account and did whatever verifying they needed to in order to assure the expense was a legitimate medical expense. While they clearly proclaim the program is not insurance they have changed the program to the point getting them to pay bills looks like an insurance company trying to avoid spending their money rather that an HSA of my money. In fact they only reimburse half the money I pay upfront and they require medical providers to sign a network agreement that none of my providers are willing to sign in order to be paid directly and have the whole bill. paid.

  Health Matching Services in NOT a real business. They employ customer service **** to tell you different stories that require you to not only continue to invest each month, but to raise your membership status to a premium level, which only adds to your cost and delivers the same fantasy results that your basic level does. These **** sound as if they did not graduate from high school, and shame on me and all the hundreds or thousands of others who did not do our homework on this scam. I left the thousands I put into this in order to stop the bleeding of depositing any more money into the owner's pocket - I will not name him due to whatever retribution I may suffer, but you can look up this con man. To save others the thousands I have lost: STAY AWAY!

  0 STARS! I am disgusted reading all these reviews and adding my own beside them. Everything written here is true and repeated over and over. I could get none of my expenses covered, despite jumping through all of the EVER CHANGING hoops that this company keeps creating. In the end I chose to forfeit my invested money of thousands$$$ and was harassed, was spoken rudely to, was not permitted to voice my objections by being cut off and spoken over, and was ultimately hang up on!!! Never in my life could I imagine this.

  I signed up over 3 years ago with *** as a safety net since I am self employed and have very limited health insurance coverage. In the beginning I too had the **** card that I could give to a provider at the time of service to pay the bill or copay amount due. Since October 2023, they have taken away the **** card, and switched to the provider having to submit claims to be paid. I have been trying for over a year to get my hospital bills paid from October of 2023. I have spent hours on the phone with the hospitals trying to make sure they submit the claims correctly, and hours calling the ***. Literally for a year no one answered, or returned my calls. They have also switched who they use to submit claims to 3 different companies. Now there are all kinds of ridiculous hoops to try to jump through to get the claims filed right and within 30 days of service, and if you do happen to figure all that out they still take weeks (if not months) to reimburse you or your provider. My hospital bills from October of 2023 have still gone unpaid after 100's of hours trying to get this resolved, as they changed how they pay, and then changed again, and again. Now my bills are so old that the *** will not pay them and they have gone to collections, which is affecting my credit. *** will also not pay bills in collections, but the money has always been there, and I just need that money to pay these bills. If I knew they were going to take away my **** card and make it virtually impossible to pay my hospital bills I would definitely have never set up a monthly contribution to them. I don't know how to get them to pay my medical bills, and I have spent very much precious time just trying to get the *** to work the way it is, and advertises that it is, supposed to work. They are TERRIBLE to try to work with. Beware, I would not suggest doing business with this company, as I still hope for a resolution.

  I'm in the same boat as everyone else. Have been in the system for 3+ years. The first year was bearable but not great. Now it's near impossible to use. The more difficult they make it the easier it is for them to hold onto your money. They really do want you to throw in the towel and cancel so they can keep your money. Hopefully the active lawsuit against them will allow us to get at least a portion of our funds back.
