      On December 30th a@ 9:15pm I visited the store to purchase household items . During my shopping I came across the scrubs and decided to pick up a few . I was wearing a black **** sweater but because I needed to try on the scrub top I took it off .Normally I get my scrubs from ******* ********* but decided to check out the ones I saw on display . My daughter was with me who is wheelchair dependent due to unforeseen circumstances. Like I had mentioned I do not expect to be there for long . However while going through the rack I just happen to see my daughter slumped over and leaning on the side of the rack for support which is an indication that she’s in serious pain. Without hesitation I provided to head to the cashier to check out . My biggest concern was getting my daughter back to the car .

      I went to DD's in Pompano, Fl today 12/17/2022, store no. 5439 per receipt. The 1st 3 display racks, filled with clothing items, states $7.99, hence, I picked up 4 pieces, went to changing room and tried each on, because, I don't like to return items. Upon getting to cashier, each item rang up at $9.99 each. I advised the cashier and pointed to the display racks showing $7.99, her response was "well it rang up at 9.99 in my computer. I asked to speak to a manager and another cashier yelled, price is actually 10.99 each. I told her that's not my problem as I'm going according to their price and again, I asked to speak to a manager. The cashier across answered they are not going to do anything. My cashier finally called someone standing a distance from us as Haley. I explained my issues to Haley about the price and was told exactly what other cashier said and also, that people or the staffs placed items in wrong location. I asked her if the 3 full stand of clothing is wrong, she said yes. I asked her to adjust my prices as none of the stand said 7.99 & up. She declined, so I went over and took pictures of the items and prices. Haley walked up behind me stating no pictures allowed to be taken in the store I went back to complete my purchase. I asked my cashier for Haleys full name, as she called her over as the manager. The cashier advised me she doesn't know Haley as she the cashier is new and that she thinks not sure Haley is the manager. I'm very upset about the store's false advertising at the entrance, the time it took me to go and tried these items and then the embarrassing situation at the register with 2 cashiers and a manager, who made the situation much worse. Additional, Haley/the manager, never made any changes to the prices but went back to where she was standing prior to being called.

      Better Business Bureau:

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  

      A Manager from DD's called stating no credit would be given as they stand by price tags and not prices on their display signs and that items may be misplaced. However, she could not give me a response as to why, the ENTIRE DISPLAY were full of the same items not matching their display.

       

      These kinds of store displays typically hurts customers financially as most people not looking on price tags and not really paying attention at the register and store like DD's takes no fault of their actions but instead further blames customers. This is VERY SAD.

      At dd's expect to find designer and brand name fashions for women, men, kids and home at everyday savings of 20-60% compared to department and specialty stores.
      At dd's there’s always something new.  The number one way to discover the best deals is to come often. Shipments arrive at our stores 3 to 6 times a week.

      Yes, I'd really appreciate a call from their District Manager regarding the above case.

       

      Its's very upsetting, I've shopped at many DD's store and the experience at this store is un-settling and unforgettable. 

       

      I've never shopped at any store that has 2/3 full RACK/STAND advertising a price in big bold FULLY LOADED with sale items at displayed prices, then after wasting my time to go change to make sure items fits, got other items in store, got to register and all the sale items, that were just at store entrance, prices came up higher than advertised at the register and your managers excuses are that customers placed items in wrong spot.

       

      Please explain, how customers were able to full 2/3 stands of all items on these stands that said AMAZING DEALZ $7.99 and UNDER and why should it be my or any other customer responsibility to be checking price tags if prices were higher than advertised. I got 4 pieces of items from the same stand that said $7.99 & under.

       

      Clearly, your staff at this store including Managers are lazy of intentionally wanted to misled customers with false advertising. 

       

      Your store need to admit their err and correct this problem. I asked for an adjustment on my bill as at that time in the store for the 4 pieces of clothing I bought and $2 ($8 & if tax was charged) more per items than you advertised and this is where we're at, with this back and forth, since December 17, 2022.

      I received an email from Mr. *******, the new Store Manager of DD's Pompano, and I have spoken to him 2x's.

      Per our conversation, I am very satisfied with his resolution regarding reference to my complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.  

      I'm very big on customer service and happy, the matter is finally resolved.
