Spent near $10K to plant 11 trees. Price told us the Japanese Yews will thrive in the **** ***** He said we was going to remove 4' of soil then plant. Once they started to die I dug around tree to find rocks and **** at 18". 2 of the three have died (less than 9 months). He also told us to water the 6 Leyland Cypress' ***** gallons 3-4 times a week. We did so like clock work. Once they started to die he said we needed to water them more. Then all 6 died. **** came out and told us the died from too much water. Now Price wont even call me back. He sent me a quote to replace them again with more markup. We literally did everything he told us to do and now he wont stand behind his work. I have several text messages from ******, Price and **** to prove.Business response

We are sorry to hear that some of the trees we planted in your property did not survive. We want to clarify that we charged you only $4,500 for the 11 30-gallon trees, and the rest of the cost was for the materials. We remember that after we finished the job, you were happy with the final look and quality of the work.
However, when you noticed that the trees were struggling, we made multiple trips to your property to identify any problems, but we couldn't find any serious issues with the job or the watering schedule. Please also keep in mind that you had us plant the trees in the middle of July when temperatures were over ************************************************************* the forecast. Trees are living organisms, and there are factors beyond our control that can affect their survival.
We also recall that you had issues with your saltwater pool flooding, and you tried to plant in those locations multiple times without success. We tried to raise the planting height to give the plants a better chance of survival. When we saw that the trees were not doing well, we offered to replant something different at a significant discount, which is not something we normally do. We were trying to work with you because we rarely have trees die in this manner. We made it clear we do not offer a warranty on our trees, however, we wanted to make this right with you.
We tried to contact you back in October about the planting of the new trees with the discount but we never heard back from you. We want to assure you that we never ignored your calls. We had every good intention for your property and your project. If you would like to discuss this matter further, please do not hesitate to contact us, and we will do our best to work something out.

this company did some landscaping work for me. The Only issue i'm having is the tree in the front yard. asked for a tree that was big enough and wide enough to block the afternoon sun. ******; brother of owner Price) ASSURED me the crepe ****** would be the way to go. additionally i asked for the Tree to bloom RED for the look. He stated this was all going to be taken care of. He planted tree in March and when it started to bloom, not red and certainly not big and wide enough to take care of the issue. not to mention there are many dead branches on the tree. i've emailed the company and called with no answer. i've repeatedly text Peace and called him and explained how unhappy i am and reminded him that he told me he would make it right if i wasn't happy. Zero response.i even emailed the owner Price and explained to him how his brother is ruining his reputation as a businessman and owner and that he should at least refund my ******* plus the labor for my stick tree that is useless and come take it out of my yard.... Zero response....I paid these people $6100 CASH for all the work and i expect to be compensated in the form of the refund for the work that was NOT done to my satisfaction.I am contacting you as a last resort in hopes of getting this resolved.any help is appreciated.*****************************, **Business response

We are saddened to have been unable to reach *****'s vision with his landscape project. Due to the nature of the job, we cannot provide a warranty on the trees we plant. We guarantee to bring in healthy plants and trees, however, once they have been planted, the customer is responsible to follow through with the necessary aftercare. We also offer every customer an opportunity to reject any materials or plants before being installed. This is outlined in our disclosure. ***** had reached out via email, and we did provide a response to him through that channel. We offered ***** a partial refund if he was able to provide additional pictures of the tree so we could confirm the color was incorrect. He refused to do so. We were extremely caught off guard by this complaint as he left us a 5-star review after we completed the project, this has since been removed.
We deeply care about our customers and reputation. We strive to always provide the highest quality of work and professionalism. We are always willing to work with our customers that are dissatisfied, however, our margins are so small, we have to find a reasonable accommodation. We truly hoped to come to a resolution with *****, but he was not willing to come to compromise with us.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:
they are not willing to make their work satisfactory and trying to charge me MORE money for a tree that is completely USELESS.. told them what i needed the tree to do and it's not big enough or wide enough to do ANYTHING. i've explained it VERY clearly to them and you. paid them CASH. They are telling you a lie.

As I explained in the email, it clearly states in our disclosure that any materials (including trees) can be rejected prior to planting, however, once it has been planted, we cannot issue a refund because the labor has been spent at that point. We did offer a partial refund if additional pictures could be provided showing the tree was the wrong color, these were not provided to us. No additional money was ever asked for. This job was performed back in March and we just received these complaints in June.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:and i told him several times it was the wrong color.. not to mention it's not providing the shade i requested and was very specific about. he just stick a tree in the ground and hoped i wouldn't complain.

Attached is an image of our conversation with the customer showing approval of the Watermelon Red Crepe ******* Also attached is an example of a Watermelon Red Crepe ****** that matches the picture the customer shared of the Crepe ****** we planted for them. Based on this documentation we feel we have upheld our end of the contract and will not be issuing a refund.
