Ordered an Xbox for shipping to home. The website said 1-3 business days and the store didn't have the bundle in stock. It is past the promised shipment date and Gamestop customer service says that it was a warehouse issue, so at minimum I would have to wait another two days for them to submit a complaint to **** that takes 3-5 business days, and then after that, would have to wait 3-5 business days for them to process the refund or replacement. In short terms: minimum of two weeks to process just to get my money back. They refuse to do anything to assist as they claim that **** has the package, when they do not and have not acquired it. The most they can do is offer a $10 online-only coupon that cannot be used on nearly anything except brand new items. If I would have known, I would have purchased the more expensive console in store and had it days ago. I will never purchase anything from Gamestop ever again. I hate ******* but it's apparently better than Gamestop. It's not my local store's fault as everything was done online.Review from Jeremy F

Long time customer of ******************** but I just learned their online customer service offers little to no support. I had an item preordered online and was paid with a gift card that was cancelled due to the gift card balance being used up. When you preorder an item they do not take out the balance until the item arrives in their warehouse and I did not realize I had used the gift card on other purchases as it looked like there was more on the card. I also found out that if you have to change payment info for a card on a order then you cannot do that online or through customer service. Let's say you lose your card or it gets stolen so then your card info changes. Gamestop will not allow you to enter new information on online orders so your only options are to cancel the order and reorder. That would be fine except for items are sold out/unavailable and in that case Gamestop will not help you. Very disappointing and I hope I might help someone else see this so it does not happen to them.Review from Randy J

[Concord ***** Location]They sell fake products and try to **** them off as refurbished. On top of that the packaging isnt even labeled as refurbished. They are labeled as pre-owned which is not the same thing. I bought two joycons from them. One of them was fake(did not have the ******** insignia on it anywhere) and the other one seemed to be real but it was broken. Both of these were the same price. When I tried to take them back the employee would only take the broken one back. He wouldnt take the fake one due to it being past the return date. The return policy was 7 days and I was returning them on day 10 so technically both were past due date but when your selling fake and broken products I feel there should be an exception. When I spoke about the unfairness of the situation the employee called the cops on me instead of showing understanding towards my plight. I emailed corporate and nothing has come from it. I will no longer give Game Stop my business.Review from John B

Between store, corporate, and their own customer service number don't know their own refund policies. They quoted 9 days and 15 days on a return of a Xbox controller saying its a PC controller. Even though their receipt says for pro members hardware and software are returnable for 30 days. The instore employees didn't understand why they couldn't return it, but said they had to follow the policy. Twice I was told about their 9 day policy which isn't how their policy is written on their receipt. When I brought that to their attention and told them I would be reporting them to the *** for false advertising, their supervisor at their 1800 number he said go for it they didn't care and would look in to their receipt policy. They don't even know what they print on their receipts. I compared a few different receipts for different stores same policy at the bottom. I'll being taking my business somewhere else, 24 years of loyalty only worth a $165 controller to them. They say For Gamers, really means f*** Gamers. Even ******* has a better less confusing, less ridiculous return policy that they always honor. Hope it was worth it Gamestop, crooked greed leads to bankruptcy. Buy anywhere else.Review from Larry G

I bought a couple gift cards from GameStop and gave them to someone. Went to sell the games back to GameStop the guy looked through each and every game very carefully and then said he didn't buy them but I could donate them to him and he sends them to kids in a 3rd world country. Sounded like complete ******* so I said no thanks and left with my 4ft stack of games I said good money for them gift cards that bought them games a new system came out kids didn't play the old one tried to get some of my money back but the guy at GameStop really thought I was gonna donate them to his cause $$$ big gonna happenReview from Robert C

Gamestop return policy on items they sell as "certified refurbished" states 1 year warranty. When the PS4 overheats and fails after 3 months they now refuse to replace, not refund, the system. Told me to call *****Review from Kyley D

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I went in bought a brand new ps5 a year ago. Asked for a 2 year warranty on that and the extra controller I bought. The person who rung me up didn't put the warranty in my purchase, didn't even put me in their computer system.. my ps5 suddenly stopped working wouldn't power on or nothing. Brought it in to exchange they wouldn't cause they couldn't find me in their system. Contacted customer support they found my purchase told me they would resolved this in 3 to 5 business days. Contacted them again when they didn't contact me within the 3 to 5 days they told me they would push it to the higher *** to get this resolved. After contacting customer service 7 times they finally emailed me saying bring the ps5 in and have the manager contact support line to get the exchange taken care of. Went in showed the email to the manager, he takes one glance at the email and tells me he can't do anything for me because I didn't purchase the warranty and even if I did purchased it their warranty doesn't cover it. I told them can't you look up video of the purchase, because they couldn't find me in the computer system, they didn't ring me up right for my purchases, and they couldn't even find out which employee rung me up that day. 7 long phone calls, 3 trips to the store based off their instructions of what they were going to do to resolve this issue and a month later, and they finally tell me that its not their problem is sonys problem..they had no professionalism and completely improper training of their employees in customer service who garrenteed me that they would exchange my item and resolve this issue.Review from Shannon C

This business is a fraud. The Mt. Pleasant location in *********** stole my money and the "lead" **** was incredibly rude and did not honor store policy. I purchased the game "Super Paper ****** for Wii on 3/25/24 from ****. (pic of receipt attached) This was a gift and the recipient already had this game. So, on 3/28/24 at 12:07pm I went to return the game. The store was locked down and closed. I looked up the store hours which said they are open from 10am-8pm. The next day, 3/29/24 I went back to the store at 11:11am to return the game. The store was closed again. I have time-stamped photos.On 4/5/24 I went for the third time in to the store at approximately 1:40pm to try again. I spoke with ****, and he said to me I am outside of the return window. I explained to **** that I came to the store on two separate days within my 7 day window but the store was closed during business hours. He told me theres nothing he will do and he will not override the system to issue my return. I tried explaining that I was trying to make the return and he said I dont know how many more times I can say I will not return the game. He pushed the game at me and said thats it. I asked him why he was closed last week during business hours, with no explanation, and his exact response was Because. At that point I then asked him for his managers information and he refused to give it to me. I asked him for the corporate office number and he gave me a Game Stop business card with the phone number for that local store! **** then told me I needed to leave. I was shocked to be treated so disrespectfully for no reason. I was not belligerent, did not yell, and felt my concern was not being heard. I tried to make my return within the window but the store was closed with no explanation during business hours. **** told me again to leave or he would call the police. Worst experience with on-line purchase!!Will never purchase from them again. Purchased controller for Christmas gift, which I don't know anything about them. They shipped a regular controller NOT the Edge I ordered and paid for, but would not correct their error. PayPal finally got my money back.Review from Evan S

Employee added warranty to my purchase without my knowledge. When I reviewed my receipt I saw the charge and disputed it. The employee ***** said he cannot refund the warranty but gave me the number to customer service. Employee told me his name is ******, found associate name on receipt. It was an invalid number. When I pressed for customer service number I called. **************** confirmed the refund could be processed in the store. I asked the employee for the name of the store mgr and/or district mgr. employee refused to provide. When I pressed further, employee called his store mgr and proceeded the refund. The store number is 3751 located at *********************. Employee lied multiple times and gave misinformation. Employee is rated based on selling warranty. This is an illegal practice. Ethics of this employee should be reviewed by location manager. What a terrible experience and waste of my time. Employee could have solved his mistake easily by processing the refund for adding the extra warranty. Not right game stop.
