Purchased a valve head assembly a few days ago from AutoZone, followed all pre installation steps required for the new head, found sealant missing in critical areas, gally plugs were only finger tight, which gushed oil after install and start up. Lifters sounded as if they were already bad.Returned head a couple days after purchase to AutoZone under warranty and got a replacement.Decided to tear down the entire assembly to make absolutely sure nothing was missing and everything was sealed as it's supposed to be. After spending all day cleaning and reassembling the valve head, priming the hydraulic lifters which were completely dry and seized in their holes with rust, and cleaning up said rust and small scoring marks in several spots, and cleaning off carbon build up on several valve stems, I discovered that the intake cam had been broken on the timing gear end.I'm now waiting on my THIRD head assembly because this company has absolutely ZERO quality control for critical components and parts they sell. The car I'm working on was supposed to have been finished a week ago, now I have to wait another week to get the THIRD head in for warranty replacement, tear that one down to make sure that one isn't all f***ed up, clean, lube, and assemble said head, then install it into the vehicle.I'm lucky I'm doing this at home and not at work, or I would be losing money having this car just sitting in my bay, waiting for parts that should be as simple as lube everything up, transfer the other parts onto the new head with new seals and gaskets, and it's ready to go.This is absolutely ridiculous that I have to tear down the "remanufactured" head and do the job which this company is supposed to be doing themselves in the first place. It literally looks like they just resurface the top and bottom surfaces, replace the valve seals, coat the outer surface in rust resistant paint, bag it, toss it in a plastic crate, with nothing more than zip ties to keep it from banging around.

We want to first apologize to **************** for the issues that he has had with his purchase of our product, however we certainly dont appreciate his unprofessional demeanor depicted in the attachment he provided in his complaint labeled IMG_20230322_173650555.jpg.  To date, we do not have any warranty claims opened for **************** on his first cylinder head or on his second cylinder head he references.  It would appear that the store where he made his purchase is going outside of our warranty terms and just ordering replacements without opening a warranty claim with **.  All replacements of our product have to be approved via our warranty claims process. **************** statement of disassembling our product and reassembling without an open warranty claim or being advised to do so by one of our technicians does void any and all warranty on our product. In the complaint, **************** cites that his desired resolution is to receive a refund for his purchase, but he also states that he is now waiting on his third unit from **.  **************** is certainly entitled to a refund from the store where he purchased our product.  If however, **************** wants to wait on the third unit to arrive we welcome that too, but any and all disassembly performed without and open warranty claim or direction from **, will void his warranty.  Again, we are truly sorry for the issues that **************** has experienced, but we are certainly willing to honor his desired outcome of a refund if he so chooses.

I am rejecting this response because:   this company has no quality control and is a f****** joke, no wonder they have an F rating.

We certainly appreciate **************** continued, kind and professional demeanor, and his opinion of our company, yet the issue remains that we still have no open warranty claims for any of the alleged defective cylinder heads.  Again, we are happy to help resolve any issues with our product, but the proper procedures must be followed.  On 05/10/23, I contacted the store where *************** purchased and returned his cylinder heads and spoke with *** and *************  Based on their records, **************** has not returned the third cylinder head and still has possession of the product.  At this point, we consider this case closed as **************** has not returned the third cylinder head to the store for the refund that he desired in his first correspondence with the BBB.

I am rejecting this response because of their blatant lack of quality control as stated in other complaints made through the BBB about this business from other customers. I have had to go through 3 different cylinder heads, which I shouldn't have to do in the first place if such quality control existed in the first place. I have been inconvenienced numerous times for having to uninstall and reinstall parts to constantly switch from one head to the next, leaving me with lost time in said REPEATED work, and lost wages from not having a vehicle for two and a half days.

And if they don't like my "professional demeanor" they can kiss my unapologetic a** Because I don't care for their s*** quality parts, like many other professionals that have used them and had the same ******** results, but they obviously don't give a ****.

They deserve the * they got, and here's another...

      "*-uck. You."
