      The only reason I gave a one star review is because I had to select one. American Standard has to be the worst company to do business with. I had a walk in tub and shower installed LAST YEAR. The side panel of the tub just fell off leaving an exposed area between the wall and the tub. This has since been fixed; however, the issues that I addressed after the installation in 2023 have never been fixed and I was asked to call in the issues again this year so they can be fixed. Issue one: the floorboard between the tub and the vanity had not been reinstalled Issue two: the dry wall on the west wall now has several gouges and a two foot slash it it. Issue three: The drywall over the molding in the entry to the bathroom has a ***** in it.Issue four: The shower is a hot mess. The walls were installed crooked, the storage pod (an upgrade that I paid for) was not installed. The grab bar is still on the patio, not in the shower. The top of the shower was never replaced and looks awful. The shower door is crooked and installed at a slant making it hard to close. I used to have bull nose corners on my shower wall, I now have spackle all over them. I would like these issued corrected or I would like to be reimbursed to have a reputable company fix the shower.

      Buyers BEWARE!!! I gave them a credit card to HOLD for a deposit,I was told I would not be charged. That was a lie they took $2057 of my money. My husband died and my financial burdens began. I cancelled my order until I got things under control. When I asked for my refund I was told 'Technically I still owe them money' ! Just the basic contract, no special order, still being assured I can cancel even tho I told them I dont have the money right now, a permit was pulled. Other than that they have done nothing. WOW what a job, take money from widows, they dont need it.

      We regret any misunderstanding regarding the deposit and conditions regarding a refund. We certainly do not wish anyone to purchase from us if they cannot or do not wish to. Our records indicate we did attempt to work with you for several months, in attempt to meet your schedule for the delivery and installation of the products. Including as you referenced securing the necessary permits. As your agreement states that if the cancellation occurs after the 3rd business day you agree to pay a cancellation fee of 15% of the purchase price. Your cancellation occurred 5 months after the purchase date. We believe that you spoke with a manger about this in January as well.

      Worst experience ever. They violated contract by not being able to do work within the contracted time frame due to delay in getting materials then they had no contractor to perform the work. We couldn't wait any longer due to selling house. Used another company. We were told in writing we'd get our deposit of $1600 back. It's been 6 months. No one will return my calls or give me an address to submit claim in small claims court.

      I rate this company low because of not being able to get a toilet I purchased last year repaired. Ive customer service twice and received a response that they will contact ***************. And they will contact me. As of today, response. This unacceptable and very bad customer service.

      A service ticket was opened on 01/03/2024 and appears to be pending. Service team has been up-dated to review, address the delay and follow up. We regret the delay and trust that the project completed in March 2023 is otherwise satisfactory.

      We ordered a ****** dollar walk-in tub they demanded we pay ***** up front which we did. The money was deducted from our account in the same day. Upon thinking about it we realized the tub would be too small so we cancelled in a few days. Thats been 2-3 weeks ago. We have called probably 15 times and they just transfer us we have explained the problem over and over. Even the guy who came to our home isnt helping us. They do not want to give us our refund apparently. If you order anything from this place you are asking for trouble. We are out ***** dollars. Worst service I have ever experienced. No customer service apparently. Do not get involved with them anyone who would keep someones money and refuse to even talk to you about it. Not honest people

      We purchased a conversion tub to shower just recently. While we like the product of AS the installers they used were horrible and for this reason we will go with another company for our guest bathroom. Number one problem was the installers did not cover anything with plastic like painters do and there was fine white dust everywhere all over bathroom walls floors, master bedroom bedding, clothes, floors dressers, down hallway into guest bathroom. Which affected my health badly. I did not like how I was treated by installers when he came back to look at what was done he kept asking me why I didnt move things from bathroom... He never acknowledged not putting plastic down, I chalk this up to being lazy. Then the doors "pivot" doors in I could not clean them wiped them down with everything I could think of. Called company and they sent out same installer who flat out told me yeah we couldn't get them clean either. Why wouldnt they say anything to us? We didnt even go into our bathroom bc we were told it takes 48 hrs before we can use shower. Then I found nail holes that went through our kitchen wall and master bed closet, all they said was yeah i used to long of a nail. I sure did learn my ****** will ask friends for referrals and pick out my own materials. What a mess I had to clean up all because they didnt lay down plastic when I was told they would cover everything.

      DO NOT BUY AMERICAN STANDARD WALK IN TUB!!!I am 72 years old. I have bone on bone in both knees. Broken vertebra in my lower back. In 2017 I bought an American Standard walk in tub. It cost over $17,000. During the last six years I have had nothing but problems. Everything from leaks, electrical problems, door problems, etc.. But what happen 12-4-2023 could have been a very serious situation. After taking my bath I tried to exit the tub and was locked in! THE DOOR WOULDN'T OPEN! I couldn't get out! I'm 330lbs. I didn't know what to do! My legs and back prohibit me from climbing out. Thank God my wife was home. Between her and we called our son in law and a step ladder I managed to crawl up and over the side. My legs wouldn't bend and my wife lifted my legs one by one. What would have happen if I didn't have her home? If I was not married or lived along how long would I have been stuck? It's now two days latter and NO ONE from American Standard has been here! The door is still broke. They say they care but nothing has been done! How long must we wait? Very rude non caring company (even though they say they care.) Asked to speak to a supervisor. They are all busy! Leave my phone number! No one has called.

      I THINK AMERICAN STANDARD ALSO KNOW AS SAFETY TUBS IS A SHAM AND ARE TAKING ADVANTAGE OF OUR SENIORS. We had a walk in tub installed in July 2023. My disabled husband only used it twice before we started smelling moisture and moldiness in the air. We had a visitor come and notice the carpet and the room downstairs was flooded. We called customer service who said they would get someone out to repair the tub. But before they sent the repair person out they wanted us to call a plumber to find out what the problem was. When the plumber came out he found the drain was not correctly installed. When I called customer service to report the problem, they said they would send the parts and would send their own repairman to fix the problem. We received the parts and to this day (10/12/23) they have not sent their repairman. We have contacted them several times to complain but it goes on deaf ears. They do not stand behind their product. As far as the damage to the downstairs room go, they told us to call our homeowners insurance company. At this time we are unable to even get the damage taken care of until the tub is fixed. This has created such a disappointment and stress for my husband who thought this product would make things more safe for him. Instead it has caused more mental anguish and stress. I DO NOT RECOMMEND USING THIS COMPANY. The only reason I gave it a one star rating is because the review survey does not allow anything less.

      Just paid a little over 20k for 2 bathroom thru American standard. Had nothing but problems from the start. Poor customer service. Took almost 2 months to be fixed. Only able to use 1 bathroom. Other unusable. Unfinished wall to wrong bench and no hot water Kept canceling repairs. Went to fix and said if change bench out would leave holes in my wall. They could caulk shut. Wow! ******** service supervisor called said glad fixed and case is now closed. Ok I guess they feel they did a job well. Still not happy.

      We had our walk In tub installed on February 15,2023. After about 2 weeks it began to leak downstairs. We called and explained the problem, along with 1. The door to the tub was cracked. 2. Air jets are not powerful 3. While installing tub, the installers banged on the wall so hard that they left a crack on our kitchen wall! 4.While installing the tub the installers somehow hit our bathroom sink and took out a small scrape. After contacting the company and the correct person( which in itself was a nightmare) an installer came back on March28, and fixed the leak and replaced the handle. We are still waiting to hear about the kitchen wall and bathroom sink. The installer said he would let them know, and a picture of the damage has been sent to the company. It is now April 12, and not a word from the company( they have their money) The salesman guaranteed 100% satisfaction...we tried calling him, and no return call. The tub works fine, but still not satisfied with customer service...still want the sink and wall repaired which was part of the guarantee. They fix any damage THEY caused.
