We worked with Todd and Hills of TX Homes to build our ************** home; he was highly knowledgable about the local rules and building restrictions, as well as particularly dialed into the needs for the Historic District. We specifically chose him to navigate this unique process for us and we had zero problems getting the home we wanted built to comply with all city/HD requirements. The quality of our home has been great and we are so happy with the final product - we are happy to serve as a positive customer reference for Todd and any potential customers looking to hire his firm.

Hills of Texas Homes does a great job. The owner and his team provided a high level of service and were easy to work with. My build included a lot of upgraded materials that they use as standard practice which results in a beautiful home.He has built 2 homes for me and I would happily work with him again.

We did a fair amount of research prior to selecting Hills of Texas Homes and they did not disappoint. Our house was built on time and on budget and we're very pleased with the high quality of our new home. They've assembled a good team all around and we found the people first rate. Also, we appreciated dealing directly with the owner (instead of a project manager) who was readily available to us throughout the project. We highly recommend Hills of Texas Homes!

Hills of Texas built our home and we moved in during 2022. Structure and insulation seems very solid and well done. Finish work was less than acceptable. Contractors (painters, trim work, etc) were fly-by-nights without company names or a history of acceptable work. Trim work was poorly done and paint prep was non-existent, resulting in very poor finishes. Not enough supervision for a job like this. Very disappointing. Many promises made and several not delivered.

Interesting response from this business owner. I will try to address his comments:1. Some of his subs were very good. Painters were terrible. I really do not believe that he has used them for 5 years as they had no company name and their quality of prep work and painting was horrible. Touch *** were done with the wrong finish paint, lots of paint on the tile floors, etc. The next two houses built in our neighborhood used two different companies to paint them. 2. When the finish work is subpar, a homeowner tends to become disgruntled. It took the garage door guy 9 months to finally fix a garage door problem. I would not recommend him to anyone - if he actually had a company name.3. This is a lie. He promised to clean our front sidewalk as the painters splashed black paint on it. That never got completed as he suggested I could take care of that. He promised the dryer vent would be boxed in and "invisible" when they were done. Never happened. I have a dryer vent running through my garage. Access to my water heaters was not to code. I had to get the city inspectors out to get something done with it.4. Trust me...I spent way more time at the house than the builder did. But I was constantly told I could not talk to the contractors. There were several times that contractors had questions/concerns and when I tried to resolve it, I would get scolded for talking to them. My statement stands.This builder contacted me after I posted the initial review and asked me to amend it or take it down. I responded with a long list of why I wrote what I wrote...I never heard another word from him.

Hills of Texas Homes has built our last two homes and it I would definitely use them for a third. Their company is a family affair, you get two engineers and a home decorator as your building team. They are very professional, and their subcontractors are experts in their craft. The homeowner is what matters to them. They won't be satisfied until you are satisfied.
