I had my house roofed by Lon Smith Roofing in May 2023 and one of of the roofers knocked on my door trying to tell me something in Spanish but I couldnt understand him . He called someone and handed me his phone. The person on the phone told me in English that a vent pipe fell out and the guy needed to go in my attic and put it back in . I got the staircase down and he went up in my attic. I heard him yelling to the guy on the roof but I couldnt understand him, he came down and went back to roofing. As I have been in my **** many times over the years I knew he didnt go over to where the drain pipe was as the roof is real low there and it takes time to crawl over there. They were dropping the shingles on the roof and really making the house shake every time they threw a bundle down . After they left I looked up in my attic and seen a lot of roof boards they had split and knotholes they knocked out and a brace that was broken by them throwing down the shingles .So at 82 years old I got a ladder and checked the vent I knew the guy didnt have time to get to and the vent wasnt in the led covering . I called and they sent an inspector out , he looked at and took pictures of all the split boards and broken support and wrote up a work order for repairs but here it is August and no one has responded to repair the damage. I called when it was supposed to rain and ask if they could just send someone out to put a cover on the lead pipe cover so my Sheetrock wouldnt get wet .No one came.I bought one and again at 82 yrs old climbed on the roof and put it on . Ive got a couple of calls about would I be sending a check for the roofing job and I told them the agreement was I pay when the job is finished and there was damage that needed repair .They said they would turn it in to the complaint department.and still no response. This has happened at least twice.Business response

Lon Smith Roofing has reached a mutually agreeable resolution with the homeowner. Management has met with homeowner. We now consider this complaint resolved and closed.Customer response

Lon Smith Roof installed new roofing for us on November 19, 2021, after damages from hail storms in the beginning of the year. 4 months later, wood panels, which are touching the roof line of our home, are falling out. Their inspector ***************************** came out to look at the damage. ***** assumed someone removed the panel on the side of our home and hammered it back in. He said he can tell because of the way the nails are laid. He told me that is the information he put in the work order and the company denied he order and will not come out and fix the damages. Considering Lon Smith Roofing is the only company that has been on our roof, his assumption that someone removed the panel and tried to nail it back to place is ridiculous. Lon Smith Roofing need to be accountable for the damages created by their crew. It should not be okay to hire a company, but in return, they create more damages to a family's home. We paid a total of $18,973.14 for this work.Business response
