Transactions: 1/26/24 $9500 & 1/31/24 $***** paid to NU Roofing the owner Mr. ***************** the previous week my husband pointed out concerns on the roof which was causing leakage in out front living area. **** stated he would waive the deductible. He accessed the paperwork from insurance. We needed a new roof installed for home and gazeebo, new gutters also the living area ceiling to remove popcorn and repair damage from leak, seal and repaint. **** advise us he would take care of it also that he could do all the work with no problem he said he had a painter who could handle the inside and a gutter guy. 1/26 Zico came out we picked color of shingle he collected first payment $9,500. Work on the roof began on 1/31/24 at that time upon completion of the roof done he collected the additional *****. Two weeks after roof was done I had my husband get on the roof to see if all was well. ****'s did not replace my whirly winds instead he had his crew repaint the old ones and flashing was not changed out, the initial leak was not addressed as he said he had done and did not replace the starter shingles. We called him to address the unfix issues he then got upset and was saying we dont know anything. We showed him were the spray paint was stained on the roof and not changed out. Only after confronting him he had is guys come out and change whirly winds and starter shingles. The painter and gutter had still not been done. The gutter guy show up 2 weeks later and replaced gutters. The inside did not get done. I told I would call another contractor out before I pay him anything else to make ********* was done correct. The police had to be called out due to his behavior. It has been a nightmare dealing with this company and still things was not done correctly after having a certified roof contractor to tell us the roof installment was not put in correctly and the shingles are not new and already have signs of damage. Had to narrow this down. ****** had to leave out.Business response

First and foremost, We are NU Roofing did not waive ANY deductible and its illegal for the customer to not pay the deductible according to HB2102. We are currently in the process of filing all the legal paperwork to receive the remaining balance due of $5,900.00 with an additional of $2,133 for the deductible that has been refused to be paid. We completed all the roofing repairs, in which the homeowner claims to not be done correctly. We have tried to get out to her property with a licensed ****************** inspector to do a legal certified roof inspection, as the person she claims did it has absolutely no knowledge of roofing. We maintained in contact with the homeowner while trying to get everything scheduled and all work, inside and out completed but the homeowner wouldn't allow our crew on site or would deny access in order for these repairs to be completed. When our sales associate was out at the "inspection" her husband threatened to shoot our employee and watch him "roll off the roof". Once these violent threats were made, we informed our staff to not go on that property unless they were with city officials. We have tried from the beginning to help out this homeowner and get everything completed on time but she became hard to get ahold of to schedule the work on the inside and then when I was at her property, she had our painters inside performing work behind our backs and worked out a side deal with them to do the work, not tell us and she would keep the money without paying our remaining balance.Initial Complaint

Zico the owner of Nu Roofing has not reimbursed my for a job he didn't do such as my fences and backyard windows it's been 2 weeks strong and all I'm getting is lies and excuses. He owes $511. Zico claims he mailed a cashiers check last Wednesday and lied and said the check back to him. I never seen nor returned anything back to him. I an discouraged and very disappointed and will never do business or refer anyone to him. Pls Pls help me resolve this issue with him and his business.Business response
