The dealership diagnosed the issue as a gasket failure and charged me approximately $1,700 for the repair.After nearly a month, I was finally able to pick up my car. But less than an hour after leaving the dealership, the vehicle began overheating againthe same issue I had brought it in for. Despite being told the problem was fixed, it clearly was not.I contacted the dealership and was eventually refunded only about $500, even though the issue remained unresolved. I later took the vehicle to a different, trusted repair shop, where they correctly diagnosed the problem as a faulty thermostatnot a gasket.Because of this misdiagnosis, I had to pay for the repair a second time and am now left with debt from financing part of the original $1,700 charge for a service that did not fix the problem.Resolution Requested:I am requesting a full reimbursement of the remaining balance (approximately $1,200). The dealership misdiagnosed the issue, performed the wrong repair, returned the car with the same overheating problem, and delayed returning my vehicle for nearly a month. My name is **** ********* and I am the ** of Freedom CDJR by Ed ***************************** You originally brought your vehicle in on Nov 4, 2024. The vehicle leaking hoses which we replaced for 485.00. You then added the oil leaks to it. Your total bill with the leaks was 1090 with the leaks and coolant repairs. You picked it up on Nov 14th. You then came back back in on Nov 2nd with a receipt for a Thermostat that you had replaced. We refunded you the repair for the Thermostat at your request. The other repairs are not related and were performed. Unless you can provide some additional information that sound very fair to me. My cell number is ************.

Bought a 2023 dodge charger from this location and did not get to inspect the before the deal was done. Salesman told me if I was to find anything to be wrong with the car that I could just let them know and they would fix it. I look over the car the next day and found bottom front trim piece damage. Went back to the dealer and they agree to replace it(never happen). I got it detail and notice a chip on the windshield as soon as I got it back from them cleaning it. I told them what I found and after arguing they agree to fix it or replace the windshield along with replacing the bottom trim that was damage. They said come back another day and we will have everything ready. Went back another day and all they did was cut the trim piece and sand it.(not what we agree) also they just look at the windshield again and I was told they needed to order a windshield. It been a month and all I have gotten was the run around. I just got off the phone with the service department and they have no ticket on my car or a windshield that was order or even know of a trim piece that was order. I try calling to speak with a manger but cant get a hold of anyone. I have a sheet of paper they gave me saying they would replace the windshield.Business Response

Date of transaction: 8/30/2024 Down payment: $1400.00 Total cost of payments: $18600.18 Firstly, they took advantage of an unassuming grandmother who desperately needed a vehicle. Upon purchase of this vehicle, the salesman ******* ****** told me this was a very good vehicle and it would provide good reliable service because it was a ******. There was no truth in lending statement observed. I advised the vehicle had noticeable damage to the front end. He advised that I could bring the car back in a short time. About a month later, she experienced the vehicle driving harshly and heard a noise emanating from the front left passenger's side, there were issues with controlling the vehicle. I took the vehicle back to where I purchased it and spoke to the salesman. The service team inspected the vehicle and advised the tire rod on the vehicle was bad. The salesman insinuated that I ran over or stuck something. I didn't run over anything. He said that the cost to repair this vehicle would be about $350.00. Due to my ignorance about cars, I believed I was ripped off and sold a lemon, which the car dealership refuse to resolve.Business Response

Purchased a dodge charger 2021 from freedom dodge March 24,2023. I also purcahsed a service contract that allowed me to have multiple coverages for any future issues that would come about with my car considering I am professionally basketball player traveling aboard pretty frequently. Around February 2024 I decide to take the car to get some maintaince work so calling my provider i was told my policy was cancelled 2 days after starting. I wasnt asked , I didnt authorize the change , and was completely left in the dark . I reached out to the dodge in *********** couldnt get the financier ******************************* on the phone but reached ********************* by text who acknowledged the mistake and even went as far as reassuring me everything was fine and that would be sending me a check no one owned the act of stealing my policy and removing my insurance and now I am stuck 1. with constantly paying my 720 bill to *********** 2. Now my car is broken down and in a dodge service shop in ********** with no way to afford it without making a bigger whole because I now have no coverages since they were stolen away . *********** took money off of my bill to credit me paying down the loan however this is something I would havent to deal with it if that dealership didnt decide to randomly steal from me . They signed me up for a terrible interest rate at 18 percent and overpriced my car . I am very upset and plan to hold them accountable and liable for the damages of my car and damages into my financial state of being considering I made a commitment to be covered with them in their offices .Business Response

I purchased a car from Dodge and within a month of receiving it the car began to run hot. I agreed to pay for the repairs but after 4 months of my car sitting at their dealership while I continued to pay my car note on time I was finally told the car couldn't be fixed. They've fixed several things on the vehicle and still can't found the problem, I only wish to have this vehicle removed from my credit.Business Response

Purchased a WIN module replacement part for our jeep from this company. We received it and gave it to the dealership that was fixing our jeep.They stated that we needed a new key, and had to pay $220 for it, plus labor, and time they had our vehicle.Getting further into the work on the jeep, they realized we did not need a new key, that the WIN module we purchased from Freedom Dodge Ed ********************** was already programmed to a RAM truck - they could see the *** associated with it. Freedom Dodge Ed ********************** in **************, sent us a used part - one that was already paired with a different vehicle, and unusable for any other car. The part was listed as NEW on the website where we bought it.Due to the module being used, and already programmed, we were unable to use it and had to have a new part sent to us. The dealership fixing our car had to keep it a week longer, while we waited for an ACTUAL NEW PART to be sent to us, not to mention countless billed labor and time. The dealership fixing our car advised we call Freedom Dodge Ed ********************** to get money back for our purchase, as their negligence in selling a used part, caused us to pay an unnecessary $220 for a key we did not need. Had the part been brand new, we would have not needed a new key. Now we are stuck with a key we dont need and $220 out the door. Our dealership offered to provide all documentation showing this was the fault of the used WIN module purchased from Freedom Dodge Ed **********************. We have tried to contact them MULTIPLE times (4 now) and the General Manager, ************************* will not respond or call us back.We were told by Freedom Dodge Ed ********************** to return the key which our dealership stated is fraudulent, and they would not do (as they shouldnt.) We believe they need to be responsible for paying the $220 their used part caused us to incur at the very least. We cannot get back the time we did not have our vehicle due to this lack of quality control in checking their parts before selling.Business Response

My frustration stems from a series of negligent actions on their part following my purchase of a vehicle from them in March 2023.Despite completing the purchase process and providing all necessary documentation, the dealership failed to submit the paperwork to the *** to transfer the car under my name. Consequently, when the vehicle was unfortunately stolen, it was not listed under my name, complicating matters significantly.For the past year, I have tirelessly attempted to rectify this situation by reaching out to the dealership via phone calls and emails. However, my efforts have been in vain as they have consistently ignored my attempts to seek assistance. Throwing code for Crank Sensor. I already changed that twice, but no good. The *** gauge would go to zero, and sometimes the engine would not start for a while. I took it to Freedom Dodge and they said ***** knew what was failing. They said the pickup fuel pump was leaking, but that wasn't the problem. A different part was leaking that I fixed. They stated that a valve adjustment had been made, but they didn't do it. I took it back and they said they did the adjustment. The problems kept happening. Hard to start, *** gauge goint to zero. So they said the *** sensor needed replaced. I told them they said the last episode fixed the problem but it didn't. They wanted to charge me another $2413.04. I refused so they charged me $450.00. The problem was still there. Through all that the problem still existed. Then they wanted to put in a new computer for $1900 they said. All this work they said they did, and the problem is still there. I have no confidence with Freedom Dodge. I am out $4054.28. This is really bad. All they wanted to do was buy my truck. I wanted it fixed but they are incompetent. I want a refund in all I spent. I have included copies of the work done.Business Response

I was told to pick my vehicle up this morning Dec 6 and that a tow fee was applied. Which was $406.00 (even if I had to pay the tow it wouldnt be that much because it was towed less than 7 mile) I explained to the service provider (***********************) that I shouldnt have a tow fee and that my insurance company covered it. He advised me to call my insurance company. I called my insurance company and they said that it was paid in full. I then called him back and asked him for tow truck companys information and he said the tow trucks business name was ********** (which I wasnt able to find any information on this company on ****** and when i received the invoice at the dealership it was a company called D&S Towing). I went back and forth with him and my insurance for about 2 hours. I then went to the dealership and he advised me to call my insurance once again. I called my insurance and this time I spoke to a supervisor and the supervisor reached out to the tow truck company on my behalf and the tow truck company said they never told anyone I owed a tow fee. I told the cashier that and she spoke to the service manager at your dealership(*********************) and he took the tow fee off. I was at the dealership for 2 hours (Im sure Im on the cameras if you would like to verify) and had a job interview scheduled within an hour of me being there and it was 10 min from dealership and missed it due to this. My car was my transportation to that interview and I only had enough cash to pay for the service. I am not sure where the disconnect was or is but this was unacceptable and Im not sure if the service advisor was intentionally committing fraud or if it was just complete negligence. No one tried to work with me or help me with the issue, I was told to figure it out and I had been trying to figure it out for almost 5 hours as a whole.Business Response

I purchased the 2018 Jeep Compass in Oct/Nov 2022. In Jan 2023 I had an issue with the car not wanting to start, I contacted ***************** who towed the vehicle to Freedom Dodge after not being able to locate the problem. Freedom Dodge replaced the accessory battery, I was never shown where that was located despite asking in case this happened again. Not long after the replacement I began having issues with the dash lights flickering and lights coming on, then the car would shut while driving. I contacted *********************** who had the vehicle towed again to Freedom Dodge. Freedom Dodge was unable to determine the cause and told me to start contacting them first as they are getting the vehicle too late. After leaving again, I began having problems every 2 weeks to 1 month later with the vehicle doing the same thing, I would send videos and be accused of faking the videos. In April 2023 I tried to start the vehicle and it would not start, **** at Freedom Dodge stated it was the passenger airbag causing the issues and he could disconnect it. I agreed to disconnect it, until the part came in so I could get to work. Not even a week later, May 1, the vehicle would not start again and had to be told. My husband was informed the wiring was fried and would need to be replaced. When I mentioned I felt they put the battery in backwards I was offered to be placed in another vehicle, that later was denied because I couldn't trade this vehicle in, I stated I wanted them to fix the vehicle at their expense. They told me it would cost $6-7000 to repair at my expense. I missed work and had mental anguish from not having a running vehicle. I want the vehicle to be fixed at their expense since the only issue I and before was the battery needing replaced and not long after being replaced the wiring was fried.Business Response
