I would give it a negative 5 if i could. In my opinion believe this situation should be illegal. I registered both of my cars, but I made a mistake on one digit of the registration. As a result, they towed my car and charged $350 to retrieve it. When I called to explain the situation, they were unsympathetic and insisted that I should have noticed the small screenshot attached at the bottom of the confirmation email. They also mentioned the option to dispute the charge, but warned that keeping the car in storage would result in additional fees. It's frustrating that they didn't bother to check if the car was parked legally before towing it, and instead chose to prioritize charging fees. The apartment complex blamed the towing company, the customer service rep sent me to the manager ******* and she was useless, theyre probably colludong with the apartment complex just to charge their dumb towing fees.H4 Towing Response

As the complainant mentioned, he listed the incorrect plate number when registering the vehicle. The email confirmation that he acknowledges receiving states "Please see the attached photo to see the vehicles registered in your unit. If any information needs to be corrected, please notify us immediately. You are responsible for notifying us immediately if your license plate changes before parking on the property."There is no way for us to determine if the customer submits incorrect information when registering their vehicles. The tow was valid as the vehicle plate would not appear as registered to the property. The complainant requested a discount/no charge and was denied hence the reason for the bad review on our business page and better business. We cannot make exceptions for anyone to keep in line with fair housing practices.Review from Arrynton H

Horrible tow drivers. After paying to get my car out of impound ( after being towed from MY OWN apartment complex )my vehicle was parked in so tight between 2 cars that I couldnt even open the front doors more than 3 inches. I had to crawl in the back seat then over into the front seat. ( Im in my 60s and have multiple sclerosis and can park better than this tow truck driver.)What a disgrace! Luckily I took pictures as did the manager at impound.Review from Nicholas O

I was using a rental vehicle after my personal car was totaled. My rental vehicle was towed from the visitors parking spot at **************************, for the reason that I registered the vehicle with a "5" instead of an "S" in the in the license plate number. No courtesy was shown to me as a resident even though I logged on the H4 system using my password (so H4 knew exactly who registered the vehicle). The towing appeared to be punitive and out of greed because any sensible person should be able to figure out that the make, model and color (not to mention 5/6 digits on license plate) were a match. I know H4 is capable of showing courtesy to residents because an SUV next to my vehicle had 2 flat tires and was not touched for more than a week after mine was towed, and even then, I noticed a warning sticker on the window. H4 towing kicked me when I was down and all I wanted to do was park my vehicle where I live and pay rent!Review from Arlando J

I called their towing service to tow my vehicle 3 miles distance, the dispatch priced me at 120, the driver then later called asking for the address again, and stating he could barely hear because he is out of distance. He then called again to ask where the vehicle is located again, I went outside and spotted him at the wrong apartment complex garage, I redirected him to come back towards me in the middle of the street on the phone, He then skeeted backwards out of the apartments garage and came toward our garage, as i was telling him its all the way to the top (again) he begin going up, i met him at the top of the garage and he pulled the vehicle backwards to go on truck, i then asked him did he have any dollies, and he stated yes, even though he states it was not in the tow, i stated i begin with that as the way and nothing else. So he stated it would be an extra charge to do in a negative state, phone number 214 .687 .0503 and his dispatch number is 945. 238 .1825 and 469 .427 .7371 as he put the car up on the lift he begin cracking my front bottom, he then got upset, because his dispatch had him all out the way and lost in gas and time he states, i stated that has nothing to do with me or this tow and where is the dollies, he then called his dispatch again and i explained to the dispatch after he talking to him that my vehicle is low and need the dollies what he is doing is not correct. As well as mentioned on the extra charge of 30 for dollies making it a grand total of 150, original priced 120 with dollies. Agreeing to such as long as he does it right, so he then pulled the car back up, put the two dollies on the front of the vehicle and picked it up from the back side where his lift do not crack body, so we then go to the location to drop and he states cash or card, i stated card, thus stealing 100 with a 250 charge i receives later on a email, i called them back and they denied overcharging, i called around all other towing services same distance 150Review from Clarice G

On November 11, 2022 I called H4Towing and registered a ***** F150 Lic. Plate *******, 2022, color- Green. I received a confirmation for a '24hr' period. The weekend prior to this I registered the same vehicle from Friday until Sunday till midnight and parked on lot successfully without incident in a space of personal choice. However, on Nov. 11, '22 this same vehicle was towed by H4Towing (after a successful registration) and charged a ****** amount plus a "3%" debit card charge final charge was "$350.00."
H4Towing said "the car was parked in a resident area,"...
I have rented here for a total of 9 years now and have never been provided any specific parking spot ever.
I feel really treated unfairly and know that I should not have paid such a high price after a "successful" registration from H4Towing.
I want to be refunded due to this malpractice by H4Towing.Review from Barry C

Thank you for your review. I am sorry to hear you are unhappy your vehicle was towed. Since I do not have information of the location you were towed from, I cannot go into detail for what reason the vehicle was towed for. Most locations are patrolled 24 hours for a variety of parking violations. Any violators are subjected to being towed.Review from Elisha L

My apartment complex, The Tides on Westchester has recently enforced towing for non residents guests. IF you do not have a permit for your guest the towing company will tow your vehicle no IFs, ANDs, or BUTs. While creating and obtaining a permit is no big deal, the process is absolutely RIDICULOUS!!! First, your guest cannot have a permit more than 3 xs per 7 days. Now, what if you have a relative visiting? PERSONAL EXPERIENCE #1: I attempted to obtain a permanent permit for my Daughter who lives with her Father but frequents my house daily. They declined her permit bc the insurance was not in my name. Her step Mother is the holder of her insurance policy. So your guests are not allowed to park in the complex more than 3 days. I'm sorry if I pay rent my Daughter should be allowed to visit me as many days as I want. PERSONAL EXPERIENCE #2: My Daughter in Law arrived at my house last night 4/14/22 while I was asleep. She was away from her vehicle long enough to use the bathroom and wake me up to create her permit. In that amount of time, maybe 10 minutes the towing company hauled her car off. This is a college kid w/ a part time job and now has to come out of pocket $345.00 to retrieve her vehicle. This is absolutely unfair and absurd. When I called the towing company the Rep was rude. I informed her this vehicle has had permits previously and they should have at minimum send a courtesy email or alert you to create the permit. I was literally in the process when they took her car. I have contacted the news outlet WFAA and BBB regarding this towing company.Review from Johnathan M

For starters: I am registered with this company for the sake of my apartments and I do have a sticker on my windshield. I see streaks from my old parking spot to a new parking spot, which shows that they tried to tow my car, but realized they made a mistake and put it back somewhere else. Now my key won't go inside the ignition to crank my car.
