      I have utilized Element Moving & Storage for residential moves and business moves over the past 15 years. I have also referred Element Moving & Storage to a number of customers. I have always been pleased with their customer service and their moving operations. The moving staff has always been (as they were today for my residential move) meticulous, courteous and knowledgeable. And the price is has always been fair and reasonable (as it was today). Highly recommend!

      Beware! Element's bid priced our total move cost at $9616. Happy with that, we took the bait and got hooked for $13,432. We paid that amount only after successfully contesting Element's attempt to extort an additional $1300.

      The Element bid included $2093 for Full Service Packaging based on 1903 cu. ft. at $1.10 each. Element's Lisa ******* made that estimate after two home visits. The $3816 increase in the actual charge resulted entirely or almost entirely from the loading charge for over 3400 cu. ft. of inventory The ******* estimate did include 15 bankers boxes in a storage unit that she elected not to view. But the actual amount from the storage unit was less, and does not account for any of the increase.

      Packing was scheduled for a May Monday and loading for the next day. The packing crew left at 5 pm on Monday obviously in need of additional help. None, however, appeared until early Tuesday afternoon, and loading did not begin until around 4 pm. The last several hours were frenzied chaos. Our utility room safe, one of the first items pointed but about the last addressed, had to be abandoned when the crew couldn't get it out of the cabinet. Well after 9, the foreperson presented a revised bill for approximately $13,400 and demanded a 50% payment.

      We had told Element representatives repeatedly that delivery needed to be scheduled in coordination with management at our Florida condominium. Yet we heard nothing until the Thursday before Memorial Day weekend. Element's Luis **** called then and announced that Element intended to deliver on Saturday. We could not agree because condominium rules expressly prohibited deliveries on weekends and holiday. Element then attempted to impose a $1300 waiting fee for delivery the following Tuesday. The company ultimately backed off when we demonstrated that the proposed charge was contrary to the relevant contract language.

      While most of their personnel were generally pleasant, our overall experience with Element Moving was nightmarish.

      First, we would like to apologize for any inconvenience that the customer may have experienced. It is never our intention for our customers to be less than satisfied with our services.

      Delay: Per our Estimate and Bill of Lading governing this move, we have up to 30 business days from our first available date to deliver the shipment. Although we work very hard to meet our customer's requested pick-up and delivery dates, sometimes it is not always an option for a variety of reasons which makes the logistics of the moving industry complicated and unpredictable.

      Carrier Contacted CSI to Initiate a Claim For Customer: Per Federal Regulations we must NOT voluntarily pay any claims unless filed in writing per the filing requirements. We have contacted CSI our claims service provider to initiate a claim file for the customer and allow them to file a proper claim as required by law. The customer was sent login information on 08/19/21 in order to file a claim online. The claim login information sent to the customer allows filing a claim for loss, damage, delay, overcharges, and any complaints. All the above can and must be compensated through the claims process as required by federal regulations.

      Once the claim is filed it will be analyzed in the order it was received and compensation if due will be offered based on our legal liability and within the time frame allowed by law.

      Element Moving did a great job moving our furniture into the kitchen and garage while we redid our floors in the entire house. They were on time, professional, fast, safe, caring, efficient, reliable, and kind. I was very pleased with how well they took care of my stuff, wrapped it, and handled it with care. The front office staff was a pleasure to work with when getting quotes, and checked on us frequently. Great service, and we'll use them again
