10/20/2023 I paid a security deposit for an apartment as shown in the screenshot uploaded. I didn't move in or sign a lease. I then requested my deposit be refunded and was told by the apartment manager that it would take 2-3 weeks as shown in the screenshot uploaded. It has now been over 4 weeks and they have stopped responding to my emails. Sections ****** through ****** of the ***** Property Code describe the legal protections tenants have when they pay a security deposit. Section ****** states:the landlord shall refund a security deposit to the tenant on or before the 30th day after the date the tenant surrenders the premises.

I lived in a unit that was uncleaned prior to move-in. Move in date was pushed back twice. The fridgerator was in the living room- filled with mold and old food. The stove was located in the dinning room- dirty and unhooked. We had roaches during the entire occupancy. Air conditioning never worked despite communications with office staff, maintenance, and 311. I was informed after applying that I was denied due to poor credit. My former significant other was approved and the manager said my name couldnt be on the lease. I asked to be listed as an occupant, but the manager said that wasn't possible. I moved from the complex in April 2022 and notified the office. My significant other stopped paying rent because the air condition had yet to be repaired 6 months after move-in. An eviction was filed under my name. I went to court and the judge dropped my name from the eviction. After he was evicted, the complex sent the move-out bill to me- $10k. It is now on my credit report in collections.

I moved to Oasis on 8/15/22. I paid them a $400 deposit, $150 admin fee and my rent is about $1,100+ per month. I was told my apartment was move in ready. When I got there on the 15th and got my keys I immediately started moving in because I only had help for 1 day. It was about 95 degrees out. I turned the AC on but the temp just got hotter. I had 8 people staying there that night in a 90 degree apartment. Ever since that day I have had constant issues such as mold in the bathroom, electrical issues, parking issues, paint issues, roaches, etc. My AC would frequently stop working or would run 24/7. At one point I turned the AC on and it started smoking, there were kids playing outside within 10ft from the AC unit. I immediately called for maintenance. They kept telling me it was fixed but it kept blowing smoke. They ended up having to replace the unit which took two weeks to do. Because it was broken my utility bill was $170, I was promised a $100 customer service credit from a manager names Haydri who is no longer employed here. They will not give me the credit. Christopher took over her position and was great in the beginning until nothing seemed to happen. I had the City of Dallas come do and inspection for the mold and electrical issues. They couldn't do anything about the mold which the maintenance painted over. But he did give them a notice of violation for the electrical which they half *** rigged up. I have had to take off work to come into the office to speak with them I am loosing out on money every other week just to show my face in there. They have caused me so much emotional distress, put me in a bad financial situation and have made living here feel like ****. I put in a notice to terminate my lease because of a family emergency. They want me to pay $3,000 to leave and have been some of the meanest people I have ever had to deal with. They try to get over on everybody who walks in that door. I am at a complete loss and want to seek legal help. Plz help

I moved out of my apartment on December 19th and was charged for several services that claim there is severe damage to the apartment that goes beyond normal wear and tear. I had requested a walk through prior to leaving the complex but was not able to get in contact with anyone. I have pictures of the state of the apartment and asked the apt manager to send pictures with the damages he found. I have made multiple attempts to reach the complex but cannot get a phone call or email back. I have utilities due to the apartment and the apartment manager will not take my payments for the utilities.
