      This was a complete waste of time. MedWell confirmed that Im 100% covered through my employer medical insurance. After traveling over an hour for my office visit and filling out paperwork the billing department expressed that my insurance is out of network and will be unable to cover the full amount. I was offered a free consultation for my back pain but refused.

      Absolutely ***************** I've been seeing the same Dr. for 20 years. He's great, but since he joined WellMed, I won't be back. They keep thinking I'm a new patient and I explained that I've been a patient for over 20 years. They then explained that I'm a new patient with WellMed. I explained I have been in to see them several times since he has been a WellMed, but they said I'd have to register as a new patient. I explained that I shouldn't have to register as a new patient with WellMed because I have been there several times and the lady on the phone angrily said. "that's my choice", and hung up on me. I love my Dr., but I'm not going to put up with that c*** I pay them, not the other way around. I suggest finding a doctor outside of the WellMed group and save yourself some time, frustration, and rudeness. Go somewhere where the staff actually wants to help and do their job and get you booked for an appointment with out putting you on hold for 10 minutes, 3 different times to just hang up on you. **************** 5-Stars!! WellMed 0-Stars!!

      Can I give zero stars? WellMed manages all the claims for United HealthCare, but the clients are "not allowed" to speak to any WellMed rep - per a UHC rep!. And since taking over my PCP's practice, they have ruined what was once a great place to go for health care. To be clear, I still think my doctor is wonderful, but thanks to WellMed, it can take 20 min, or more, just to get someone to answer the phone - because WellMed took out the working system that they used to have. And it doesn't matter if you're calling from another physician's office, hospital, or other medical facility (lab, radiology, etc), you still have to "get in line" to speak to anyone.

      WellMed is the absolute worst company that I have encountered in my 75 years on this earth. I fell within a couple of weeks after I retired. I had a serious shoulder injury, as well as my chin needed several stitches. I woke up in a puddle of blood.. I was taken to the emergency room by ambulance. I waited four months to get approved for an MRI. My shoulder was torn in four different places. I was in severe pain while Welmed would continue to deny both my doctors an MRI. I think that is shameful. I've worked all my life. I don't have enough money to pay for an MRI but I was prepared to borrow the money so that I could have it done. Something is wrong with this picture. Why are they trying so hard to keep needed Americans from getting the care that's needed. But illegals are met with open arms. Plenty of medical care, healthcare, all free.. I'm totally disgusted with Wellmed. After I pleaded my case, with an agent at WellMed, I was finally approved for an MRI.

      I was happy with Wellmed until recently. Communication became a problem. It was like we were speaking two different languages. I was given some information each time but not what I needed to know. I wish they had been honest and told me they couldn't help me and not given me unnecessary referrals. This wasted both their time and mine. I'm looking for another doctor.

      This kind of medical care should be illegal in this country!!! If youre sick and need to see your primary care dr, the refuse and tell you to go to a clinic! I dont think the doctors are actually doctors!

      Impossible to get appointment with a doctor when you have a health issue. You are told to go to ER or to a ************** Hard to deal with. You get the feeling that their interest is with Welmed and not the patient.

      I started going to WellMed at Pecan Valley in August. 2 weeks ago I was seen by a **, my blood pressure was high, so they took it again & still high. She told me to take my ** at home & shed see me in two weeks so that she could prescribe medication. Twice I was called to confirm my appointment with this PA. I confirmed & I was there promptly at 10:30AM. When I checked in I was told a Nurse would see me. I asked if the nurse could prescribe what I needed & they said NO. Then I asked then why am I here? I also a couple of other things to follow up with the PA as discussed 2 weeks ago. When I left my house 10 minutes before arriving there, my ** was 124/81, by the time the nurse took it it was 151/86. So Ive gone from never meeting my Provider to seeing ********* down to a Nurse who cant even write a prescription or write a referral. Incidentally they had scheduled an appointment with my Provider in ************ canceled it after todays experience. I looked around at the people in the Lobby, all looked older than me & wondered how long it will be before they die because of their malpractice! After this experience I paid to be seen by another doctor & authorized them to get my records from WellMed.
