This company, Alco, installed a roof on my home and there was no issue with that however upon completing the job they did not pay **** engineering company the fee to get a certificate. Therefore, there is no certificate on file with ***** windstorm and my insurance company is asking for an additional $275 as a result. In speaking with **** their representative said he has not paid my fee or several other properties. I would like the ***** at Alco to pay **** the certification fee so my home is covered by insurance.Business response

I went by and laid for the windstorm certificate once they told me it was ready. They applied the payment to sa different invoice. I will go by and pay for their certificate tomorrow morning.Customer response

Better Business Bureau:
After verifing with the ******************* and my insurance agent the resolution is satisfactory as tge fee has been paid and a certificate is on file with the state windstorm agency.
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

AlCo Roofing installed an aluminum roof at our house at ************************************************************************, that was completed on 10/30/2018. There is an area where the roof paint has begun to flake from the roof panel, leaving an area where the aluminum is exposed to the elements. The roof is under warranty. The owner of AlCo Roofing, *************************, has refused to answer emails and will not acknowledge the problem or uphold the warranty.Initial Complaint

We have had difficulty with reaching out to the owner to get the job done to fix the roof to prevent the leak. After several phone calls, finally he sent a person to look at the leak and made suggestion to place the caulking around the nails which will take less than a day. However, we never heard about the cost of doing this job and he has failed to authorize the person to return to complete the work. It is likely that the owner is very busy but simply communicating about what his plans are would help. He can also suggest any alternatives which would be of great help.Customer response
