3/5/2021 $977.90 Auto Crafters Paint & Body **************, ** My vehicle, **** ***** Accord, was taken to Auto Crafters on 2/11/21 to fix a leak that was showing on the headliner near the passenger sun visor. I was told that it was leaking due to rust area at the top of the front windshield area. The shop was supposed to fix the area and have it done within a week or less. After several calls to them, it was not actually ready for pick up until Friday 3/5/21 shortly before closing. So I had my mother pick it up, since I was at work. They had her pay and then gave her the keys. She drove it straight home and parked it for me. She told me that she would let me put up the glove compartment items left on the passenger front seat. The next morning I went to run an errand, and to look at my car. I did not know why they had to empty the glove compartment. I went to put the items back in my glove compartment, and the passenger seat had burned holes. I looked at the driver seat and it also had burned but smaller holes. I started the vehicle to see if there were any other issues. Several electrical items were not working properly or working at all now: the radio did not work not even the display, the electric door locks and windows would not work, the speaker made a popping noise, the front cabin lights & visor lights did not work anymore, the backlighting to the AC/Heat controls did not illuminate, gear shift lights did not illuminate, steering column radio controls did not work. Of course the shop was closed for the weekend now. I went by the shop anyway in case someone was there working on vehicles. The employee there said that I would have to come back on Monday. I went back on 3/8/21 and asked for the manager instead of **** that I normally dealt with. **** said that he guessed he was the manger and that he was not going to do anything about the damage. I later got with **** and gave ample opportunity to fix it. I have more information & see attachments.Business response

Customer came into ******************** for repairs to **** ***** Accord for body repair on rust top of the roof. During the repairs we ran into some issues customer states that the repairs were not complete. We spoke with the customer and stated that we would correct any issues and we did we paid to have the front seat re-upholstery and replaced the radio and rental for during the time it took to make repairs good. Customer states everything was good with the repairs and signed copy of payment. We at Auto Crafters made every attempt to correct the issues found. We paid out more than the repairs that the customer paid for.

I am rejecting this response because:They did not fix the damage that they caused to my vehicle while working on it. They quit returning my texts and calls. I was left with a radio, steering column controls, gear shift illumination and ac/heat illumination that did not work anymore. They did the seats with scraps that were of very poor quality, and they looked dingy compared to the original that are 15 years old. The only the only thing that was signed was the credit card slip that they had my mother pay before they gave her the keys and let see the vehicle right before closing. They also had taken everything out of my glove compartment and spread it over the seats to cover the burn marks, so she would not see them. Amazing what business get away with.
