It's unfortunate for me to say this but I am sorry to say that I am a client of GTR. I signed a contract with them June of 2022. They were supposed to build a three-bedroom, two car garage approx. **** sq ft. for $250k. Today is January 21 of 2024. The house is now in "Dried in Condition". That means that there are walls rough plumbing and electrical. My family and I can't live there as there is no insulation, dry wall, or even flooring in the house. I am not sure exactly why there have been so many delays in the construction of the house as I am paying in cash as oppose of a construction loan from the bank. Each time that ****** or ***** has asked me for money for the house I have been able to give them a cashier's check for them for the amount that's needed. There have been major changes to the house among them is that it went from a 3 bdrm to a 5 bdrm but these changes were at the suggestion of the contractor. Five more months marks two years that we have been waiting for our house to be finished. Each time that I would call the contractor I get the same thing; "I have all the intention of getting the house done as soon as possible" or "Your house is the top of our priority". Now, as of last Friday, they are not even answering their phones or text messages. They have left me with an empty shell of a house and hundreds of thousands that I feel that I have been scammed out of.Even with all this, I would still like for them to finish the house as they promised. I hate the fact that I may have to *** them in order to force them to finish what they PROMISED to do in the first place. By not doing what they said they would do, it shows their integrity (or lack thereof). It's a shame that the days of a "handshake deal" and "your word is your bond" are over.
