My family and I are in absolute disgust with the way this company Owner (Dawn) chooses to handle any type of concern of a complain towards her company! On October 18, 2022 this company was hired by Mullendore elementary for picture day and behind my child verbally expressing she didn’t want to smile with TEETH, but instead in her own way of smiling without teeth. Myschoolpictures photographer proceeded with forcing my child to say MONKEY to get her to smile, I don’t know what world we all live in now but this should not be a phrase to say in regards of trying convince a child (African-American ) to smile at all, there’s many other words that could have been chosen with a long E sound at the end besides MONKEY! In my attempt of reaching out to this company and specking directly to the owner Dawn **** who immediately refused to listen or even ask questions to gather a concept of the complain, instead she immediately dismissed, bad-mouthed, and belittled the idea that using the word monkey is a racial slur, in my attempts to gain control of the call to be heard. Dawn insist on over-talking me and verbally expressing over and over she is not on our side and not taken accountability of this discrimination. I’m in disbelief that Birdville ISD would ever hire such a company with poor professionalism and tarnished character again, this experience left my child eyes filled with tears and the feeling of been looked down upon within her classmates eyes of who was there to witness this happening to her. In which no one else was asked to say MONKEY! This is the reflection of a Mother and Father who just wanted to be heard but instead was faced with negative thinking and hopelessness.
