I have contacted the billing people about twenty or more times. First I was told that this was going to be taken care of then they started telling me that the account was in review and someone would get back with me. I have sent them via e-mail, Fax and US mail proof of canceled check and where it was posted to the wrong account. As of to day no one has contacted me. I called yesterday and now I get a whole different story why I owe this bill and that they are turning it over to collections. They are saying that the $98.86 was applied to an outstanding bill from 2013 that was in collections. I have always paid my bills and have an impeccable credit rating. If I had a bill from them back in 2013 it would have been paid. I do not even remember nor does my family that I was in the ** in 2013. I would pay this bill to *** this go away but I do not have the confidence that it will be applied to the right account and it really will just go away.Business response

We are working to resolve the issue. The billing **** is asking me for the date of service for the bill in question.

It was discovered that the account he had referenced is not related to his hospital bill, but the ED Physician bill. HIs billing concerns have been forwarded to the ED Physician billing coordinator for resolution.
In addition, we have adjusted his hospital balance to zero.

I have been informed that the ED Physician bill in question has been adjusted to a zero balance. We consider this case to be resolved. If ************ has any additional questions or concerns about his ED ******** bill, he may call the ED Physician billing coordinator directly at ************ to discuss and/or resolve his concerns to his satisfaction. I went to Texas Health Huguley ER on 6/6/23. They did a CT scan without contrast of my abdomen, bloodwork, IV therapy, etc. (bill attached) Texas Health Huguley then billed my insurance company $13,782.77 and billed me for $6324.32. This bill fraudulently price gouges AETNA which results in fraudulently overcharging me for services that are more than 75% lower in my local area for the exact same services . Ex: My insurance is charged $8329.89 for a CT scan without contrast of my abdomen. I am then charged $4,564.00 for that CT scan. The median price of the same scan in the ****** area is $575.00-$1500.00. Every other charge is similarly overpriced. I understand this was an ER visit which will cost more than testing done at an outpatient clinic with the same equipment. It should NOT be over 75% more though. Texas Health Huguley is a NON-PROFIT hospital. Because of their practice of price gouging , they are most certainly receiving a very large profit from everyone they do this to. I already pay enormous taxes to support the indigent citizens and those here illegally. I also pay over $1,000.00 per MONTH for health insurance. It should be illegal for a NON-PROFIT hospital to overcharge me by such outrageous amounts and expect me to provide them with actual profits.Business response
