I signed an agreement on 8/11/2020 with ************************** to sell my **** Silver Convertible Jaguar XK8 with an agreement that I would net $2800 - $3800 from the sale. After a thorough inspection of my car, ************************** asked for $1,000.00 to have the front 2 bucket seats reupholstered in vinyl due to cracks in the leather. He stated the cost to recover the seats would be approximately $700. He explained that I would be paying for half ($350) and the remainder ($350) would go to minor repairs. The car sold 8 months later and ************************** never contacted me. He offered to give me $1600 for my beautiful Jag saying the tires needed to be replaced due to being on his lot for a year and a half which is a lie. Then he said that he wanted for me to leave a 5 star review on ****** Review as "payment" for selling my car. I left the fake review and still did not receive a check until I told him I was filing a complaint with the ************************** I removed the fake review and filed the complaintBusiness response

The consignment contract dated 08/11/2020, states the dealer will pay a net figure of $2800.00 to $3800.00 to the owner. It also has written above the $2800.00 "after 30 days". Hovey Motorcars did reupholster both front leather seats, immediately after we took the car in on consignment, as we agreed to do with the customer. We charged the a/c, we replaced the 4 tires, not due to wear, but to cracked side walls known as dry rot. We did attempt to fix passenger side rear window, as it would not go down when you lowed the top. We did detail it many, many times, as it was here for around 8 months. In the time it was here on our lot, we did show it and work deals on it several times, but could not close the deals. We finally found a buyer, out of state, to sell the car to.
