    Update: January 24, 2017, this business has failed to provide a written response for an outstanding complaint despite having worked with BBB in 2016 in addressing a pattern of complaint as described below:

    BBB files indicate a pattern of complaints concerning product returns, customer service, contract cancellations, and un-authorized bank withdrawals.  Consumers state that the business ignored their attempts to cancel the contract and return the product, company representatives and management were rude and consumers could not get the business to refund their money even after the cancellation of the contract within three days of purchase was approved.  On April 28, 2016, BBB sent written notice to Kirby Vacuum Cleaners identifying the pattern of complaints.  June 9, 2016, a representative from Kirby Vacuum Cleaner responded to BBB requesting complaint information that had been previously closed as unanswered and unresolved be resent to them so that they could provide written responses.

    In July 2015 BBB was alerted to concerning situations between the business principal and outside sales associates. Concurrently, BBB viewed concerning online social media posts about the business, most of which were related to sales practices and consumer complaints. Shortly after, BBB began to receive steady consumer complaints. BBB established a pattern of complaints regarding this business, including consumer claims of unethical business practices, dishonesty, service issues, contract issues, etc.  BBB has made, and continues to make, attempts to reach out to the business in an effort to provide assistance to the business in resolving consumer complaints as well as follow-up training on business ethics.  This business currently has multiple closed, unresolved consumer complaints.  The BBB encourages consumers to file online complaints at bbb.org.  For more information please call BBB SETX at 409-835-5951.

      purchased a Kirby home care system on 7/20/22 , was not told by sales person about or given the contract . by the sales person it would brought back to me the next day .never was brought back to me , I got the contract on 8/12/22 *********@1/06pm .thats the day i attempted ,to returned the item . she told me it could not be returned , they have a 3day return policy , did not know this because , it was explained to me & i did not have any contract , just the warranty papers . just wanted to return the item . no money down , just waneted to bring item back & cancel contract with finance company , they also refused to accept item. had i knqwm it was a 3 day return policy , would have never sign that contract , was never tolled that .
