On November 3rd, 2022 my mother (*******************************) purchased 2 **************** Packages through UBSki (one for me, *************************** and one for my boyfriend, ***********************) each totaling $1,092. The trip is supposed to take place January 7th-12th, 2023. On November 3rd one charge of $1,092 went through on her credit card and the second ski package charge dropped on her card on November 4th. She has paid UBSki a total of $2,184. At the time of purchase, we chose the travel insurance which states Protect yourself from any unforeseen circumstances. Cancel you trip up to 24 hours before arrival and receive a full refund (transportation not included). Insurance must be purchased at the time of booking. I immediately tried to contact the company by phone and email on November 3rd & 4th to make sure my boyfriend and I were rooming together but I did not get any reply. For the last 6 weeks I have been calling and emailing the company with NO reply. I have called and left numerous messages by voicemail at both the office number ************* and the toll free number **************. No one answers the phone during their office hours and no one has replied to any of the emails I have sent. I have even reached out on ******** and it only replies with an automated message. The automated email confirming our payment when the trip was first booked is the only communication that we have received. The order numbers provided in the confirmation email for the 2 ski packages were: order #***** (***************************) and order #***** (***********************). It stated in a few days we would have more information as to lodging, lift-tickets, etcNONE of that has been communicated to us and the trip is supposed to take place less than 3 weeks from today. Yesterday, (December 19th, 2022) my mom called the credit card company to dispute the charges and they advised us they cannot take action until 14 days after we officially cancel the trip with the merchant so I emailed and called to cancel the ski packages. It has now been over *************************************** any form of communication on UBSkis behalf. Upon further investigation, I found out other people have been scammed by this same company in the past 2 years. I decided since I purchased the travel insurance that I would reach out to the company to see if I could get refunded through them. The 3rd party insurance company is listed on their website as Excellent Adventures, *** which was actually founded by the same person as UBSkivery suspicious. I did a quick ****** search and found out this company forfeited existence and dissolved January 15th, 2021. I believe UBSki is operating under fraud as the travel insurance company that I purchased travel insurance through no longer exists. In years past, my friends and I have purchased ski packages through UBSki with no problems but this is the first time booking with them again in over 5 years. The company is clearly not operating in good faith and is still collecting money under false pretense.
